WHERE TO WATCH

  • The first half of Hancock is so much fun. Could have watched drunken Will Smith fly around all day destroying everything in his sight. It's gets a bit too grandiose for its own good, but I might watch it again to see if my opinion on the final act is changed at all.

  • Hancock is a fun, quirky ride that’s as entertaining as it is unconventional, making it a standout in the superhero genre. The film offers a refreshingly irreverent take on the superhero genre, with Will Smith delivering a standout performance as the disillusioned, super-powered antihero. Hancock’s version of heroism involves a lot of property damage and an impressive level of grumpiness. The film cleverly subverts expectations, blending action with sharp humor and an engaging, if somewhat chaotic, storyline. Charlize Theron adds a layer of intrigue as a character with secrets of her own, ensuring the narrative remains compelling. The movie’s comedic elements are as prominent as its action sequences, creating a unique, if occasionally messy, cinematic experience.

Hancock Review
7/10

Hancock is not the light and fluffy comedy you may think it is - it's dark and coarse, but well worth checking out.
