  • This movie should be so much better than it is, as Wright tells a compelling ghost story with a relatable core. Thomasin McKenzie and Anya Taylor-Joy nail their characters, and yet the film ends up feeling flabby, plodding its way to a conclusion that you ultimately see coming and brushing off moments that instinctively feel like they should have had consequences.

  • Think this is a really fun film that issues its giallo influences to great effect. The best looking Edgar Wright film in my opinion. Thought it was creepy enough and it kept my attention all the way through. Love the atmosphere.

  • An inexplicably underrated film. This one wasn't a hit with Edgar Wright fans, despite having all of his hallmarks - a great soundtrack, attention to detail, and twists you can predict if you've been paying attention. My only guess is that it's his first movie centered on a woman instead of a manchild, but I want to think better of humanity. It's still a beautifully crafted film with great cinematography and chilling moments that will haunt your nightmares.
