Reviews(1)

  • With its penchant for black comedy and its commitment to making its core cast as terrible as possible, Malcolm in the Middle is one of the most engaging comedies from the 2000s, and its depictions of suburban American life are arguably more realistic than some of the more recognizable sitcoms to come out before and after it. There are few shows with as good a handling of comedy as Malcolm in the Middle, and overall, it's a show no one should try and up.

Synopsis

Malcolm in the Middle tells the story of an average dysfunctional American family. When Malcolm, one of four children, learns that he possesses a genius-level intellect, his whole young world is turned upside down. Still desperately trying to fit in with his friends and family despite his extraordinary gifts, Malcolm finds that though his life might have changed, it's still just as chaotic as ever.
