Synopsis
What If… ? is an animated anthology series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe which features fan-favorite characters, including Peggy Carter, T’Challa, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor, and more. The new series, directed by Bryan Andrews with AC Bradley as head writer, features signature MCU action with a curious twist. The show sees Uatu the Watcher, an omnipotent being that observes the events of multiple universes from afar as they unfold, unable to interfere. However, things shift when an entity peers beyond the veil, jeopardizing the multiverse.

Could haves doesn’t equal does not the Avengers. Just because Tony starks parents were saved doesn’t mean Tony wouldn’t become Iron Man. This whole article is all speculation. Why don’t you try writing something worth reading instead of reaching?

The feeling that I’m missing something from this latest mess from Disney was quickly overcome when I realized the unrecognizable characters were a result of the dismal failures of 2023-24 movies and cancellations from the M-She-U. Anyone want to tell me where the A-class heroes went? No? Who are these characters?

After a first great season and mediocre second season, What if.. third season is absolutely terrible so far. The stories are nonsensical and dumb. Complete waste of time. Very disappointed.

Just awful. A continuation from season 2 forcing full female cast just because and 4th or 5th tier characters no one asked for. Stories did not blend together and the stories themselves were ridiculous. Ruined the What if.... Concept the comics created. I hope this was the last attempt because Disney is destroying the marvel characters, stories and name.

So the entire premise of the What If...? comic was to have single-issue looks into other universes within a seemingly very hawking-esque multiverse where there is a universe for the infinite ideations that exist in such a multiverse. These universes aren't supposed to start coming over to ours for lunch every Tuesday. They could exist under completely separate laws because they existed in a vaccuum. It was never meant to ne episodic or even very serious, and the hero of "What if...Howard the duck was an anteater?" isn't meant to surface on our world sometime in the future running H.Y.D.R.A.! The series seems to fail to "get" itself in major ways. Which is a shame, because it's really well-done and well-written.
