  • This action movie if full of thrills. The coming back of Tom Cruise, absolutely in the skin of Ethan Hunt, doing fearless stunts, brings out the very feel I got from the previous films. That plane scene, with Cruise hanging onto a flying aircraft, had me enthralled no less than from the Burj Khalifa climb in Ghost Protocol. Equally engrossing is Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, whose character brings in a whole new level of intrigue and complexity not quite so significant in the previous films.

  • In every Mission: Impossible movie, Ethan Hunt's crew is disavowed and being hunted down by other US government agencies, but they get some nebulous international bad guy and Tom Cruise jumps headfirst off the Eiffel Tower or something. And then at the end, everyone says they're good again, which lasts for about a week before the next movie starts.

  • Weirdly enough, this movie was my introduction to the Mission: Impossible franchise, and it did not disappoint. Some of Cruise's best stunts are in this movie, creating a genuine cinematic spectacle.
