Nope is Jordan Peele at his best so far. Love the through line of animal exploitation for the purpose of monetary gain. The design of the creature feels straight out of Evangelion with some of the best tension that Peele has delivered yet. So good.

This is not as strong as Get Out for me, but definitely better than Us. This is a masterclass on how to build tension for something you haven't seen. The entire movie I'm on the edge of my seat imagining this monstrosity that is terrorizing this area and when you finally glimpse it, oh my god. It's like it's not even scary the way like a godzilla monster would be, but because that's almost more familiar, I'd rather face that then this thing. The unknown of this was HORRIFYING and I loved every second of it. And once again, Jordan Peele's movies are always perfectly cast.

Great film. Atmospheric, spooky and eerie. Well worth watching for fans of the unknown!

A film about filmmaking, about being watched, and about man's hubris that they think they can control nature. Jordan Peele once again crafted a masterpiece that is as terrifying as it is funny.

Nope is one of those films that succeeds more and more as time goes on and you have more time to let it sit with you. It is by no means a perfect film, and probably not as great as Get Out or Us, but is thematically dense and is exciting enough to keep audiences interested. Probably the most distinctive visual style of the lot too.
