Waste of time.

Sometimes, you just need a comedy movie to watch and switch your brain off. Parks and Rec doesn't quite have the same emotional kick as The Office, or as beloved characters as HIMYM, but it does have an off-beat premise and a lot of fun.

Over the course of the show, the characters grow to be more exaggerated versions of themselves. This can be really funny, and it's well worth checking out if you havent seen it already.

Parks and Rec is hilarious and serves the same purpose as The Office, providing a heartwarming and laugh-out-loud sitcom to put on when you just need to give your brain a rest for a while and watch something that will make you chuckle.

Parks and Recreation doesn't have the same stellar legacy as The Office, but with its great character writing and willingness to be as goofy as possible within the realms of reality, it's still a great show to watch and easily one of the best Michael Shur comedies to date. The fact that it has far less drastic a drop in quality than The Office is also great to see, and overall, it's unlikely to ever disappoint.

Parks and Rec is a good but uneven sitcom that has some genuinely funny and recognizable characters but doesn't really stand a rewatch. If you're prone to frustration, skip it, because the whole series is about the battle to get anything done in a world of democracy, and the rank unfairness of a system run by self-involved grifters.

I know people do talk about Parks & Rec quite a bit, but I still think it's an extremely underrated comedy. It does what The Office does well in a workplace comedy and puts its own spin on it. What really carries the show is the casting, since every actor feels made for their roles. I couldn't imagine the show being successful without them. Has produced so many hilariously iconic moments too, like Leslie's walk out on the ice rink and anything related to Li'l Sebastian.
