WHERE TO WATCH

Reviews(3)

  • The weakest of the Craig-led Bond movie, Quantum of Solace's strengths lies with Bond's personal journey, still recovering from the heartache of Vesper Lynd's loss and still not yet the 007 people would expect from the character's reputation, which works especially well when you consider the wider franchise. However, on its own the feature does veer too hard into realism and kind of loses its Bond identity, becoming a more standard action fare with an unremarkable plot.

  • Better than its ed, despite not rising to the heights of Casino Royale. The villainous plot is a little ahead of its time (the water wars are coming), but Daniel Craig's Bond comes across as the nasty piece of work fans know from the books.

  • Kind of threw away the gravitas that Craig brought to the first of his Bond films. I guess the audience wasn’t feeling it. This is why we can’t have nice things.
