  • A suitably epic ending to the trilogy that deepens the characters and pays off their journey. Mostly because it needs to pay off the drama of the trilogy, there's less room for exploring the galaxy and showing new, realistic-seeming worlds. Sadly, that's a lot of Star Wars' strength, tying the movie's hand behind its back.

  • Easily the best movie of all, in my opinion.. it depicts the biggest turning point in Star wars universe, the turning of Anakin to the dark side. And although many criticized Christensen, I believe he managed to show the struggle within.. and he gets better as the years go by!!

  • Revenge of the Sith was the perfect note to end on for the Prequel Trilogy, and at the time Star Wars as a whole. After roughly six years, the tale of Anakin Skywalker ended in its inevitable tragedy, but it went out with a bang. The movie is a visual treat to this day, marrying the innovative digital effects with the practical to create a truly breathing galaxy with some of the most spectacular battles. However, I do feel that the movie fails with its characters, due to a handful of flatter performances and the lack of an arc for Pe that was cut. Overall, however, it is a strong conclusion to the trilogy.

  • Unironically one of my favorite Star Wars films of all time. This was the epic end to a trilogy full of tragedy and all built to Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader. The opening space battle is beyond epic, coupled with Anakin and Obi-Wan's duel on Mustafar, this film hits all the notes. The only real issue I take is the cutting of much of Pe's storyline and the birth of the Rebellion with Mon Mothma and Bail Organa. An amazing character like Pe deserved better than that--no one would've cared if the film was 10 minutes longer.

  • The best of the prequel trilogy. Although the dialogue is poor at times, and some mediocre acting, even by Sam Jackson. When I see Sam Jackson unable to deliver a line convincingly, that's the script and Director, not the actor. The best example of this is the cringeworthy line, "I'm going to end this once and for all!" I mean come on, such a overused line for such a monumental moment.

The action scenes and the connective tissue to the OG trilogy makes this something special. I always like to rewatch the film and be reminded that Hayden was never a bad actor, he was doing his best to deliver horrible dialogue and receiving poor direction from Lucas himself.

With far more strong points than weak, the curse of Episodes I & II has been lifted at last.
