  • Liam Neeson's acting is phenomenal in Taken and the plot is terrifying and dramatic. The tension in this movie is palpable and it will definitely have you on the edge of your seat.

  • I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for disingenuousness, I can tell you I don't give false reviews. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me especially equipped to help you. If you go watch the movie now, that'll be the end of it. I will not pester you. I will not judge you. But if you don't, I will tell you how good it is, I will hope you change your mind, and I will go watch it myself.

(Sorry, I had to do it. Taken is phenomenal. You should go watch it!)

  • I unapologetically love this movie. I know people are probably tired of it because it was such a big deal when it came out and they made some pretty mediocre sequels, but it was worth all the hype it received. I'm a huge crime drama person and the chase is always the best part. Solving a crime is great, but when you know what's going on and you're on a mission to save someone, THAT is the part I live for and this entire movie is just that part. Liam Neeson is phenomenal and believable in this and I would argue this is the best movie he's ever done. However, I will say that this is extremely nostalgic for me, so a lot of my opinion is probably biased, but I've rewatched this probably a million times and I still love it just as much every time. Also, I used to think this was like "only Liam Neeson would go this far for his kids, he's so cool" but having a daughter of my own now, I would absolutely go this far to find her if necessary.

While parts of it are a stretch, overall Liam Neeson makes Taken an extremely satisfying action flick.
