As great as it's going to get for a sci-fi action movie, maybe it even will be. The absolute stunner with Terminator 2, though, is that following through on the impressive original film, it went on to exceed expectations when, quite frankly, the franchise really didn't need it to. Terminator 2 is the reason why I enjoy and re-watch the Terminator movies more than I do any other franchise in that category, and is truly a masterclass of action franchise filmmaking.

The rare sequel that's better than the original, Terminator 2 builds up the weight of Armageddon, turning Skynet from sci-fi gimmick to a truly haunting threat. Robert Patrick is an ideal villain - seemingly stoic but with flashes of vicious wit.

The greatest sequel of all times in of suring the original. Great character development and a phenomenal twist making Arnold the hero. Further development of Linda Hamilton character is done well. Robert Patrick is even more menacing as a Terminator than Arnold's original Terminators

James Cameron not only redefined what CGI effects could do, but what movies could do in this fantastic sequel to an otherwise generic sci-fi. Linda Hamilton bulked up to become a genre-defining badass, and Arnold Schwarzenegger proved he could be a comedic great, even while giving a normal tough guy performance. The ending was perfect, and it's so great that they didn't turn this solid movie into franchise garbage by making 4 more Terminator movies, la la la, I can't hear you.

What can be said about Terminator 2 that hasn't been said a million times over. Cameron was fully in his bag with this one and takes the already terrific first movie and brings the franchise into another stratosphere. Some of the best action filmmaking I have ever seen. Arnold's shotgun reload technique is effortlessly cool.
