  • Really gave a second breath to the super hero genre. Billy Butcher is such an amazing character.

  • Liked The Boys more than I thought I would. Fun when it is absolutely tearing into certain things. Homelander is a compelling villain and one of the best we have gotten in a while. Don't outright love this show though and probably never will. Just think it is really good.

  • The Boys is absolutely the best thing to happen in Superhero TV to date, and that includes the MCU and DCU stuff. A dark, gritty show that looks beyond superpowers, and unveils what normal people would be like when granted these abilities. This is an outstanding show, but definitely not for those who may be sensitive to violence, gore, sexual acts, etc.

Synopsis

The Boys is a gritty and subversive take on the superhero genre, focusing on a group of vigilantes who confront powerful superheroes abusing their abilities, exploring themes of corruption and moral ambiguity in a world where heroes are not always what they seem.

The Boys Season 4 Review: Superhero Satire's Razor-Sharp Edge Gets A Bit Duller In New Episodes
7/10

The Boys has always been prescient, but it struggles to find a balance between social commentary & gross-out action that still feels fresh in season 4
