Hands down, Disney's best-looking CGI film. There were times while watching this that I would sit back in amazement at how the leaves on the trees felt real. That's something you'll spend a lot of this movie doing, because there's not much in the way of plot or character. It's a great tone poem, something to sit back and just enjoy the vibes of.

Experientially, I did not hate watching The Good Dinosaur in theaters or anything like that. But it is really weak-storied, not good Pixar overall. Released in a bad Pixar era.

The Good Dinosaur boasts artwork and animation that's easily among Pixar's best, but unfortunately, it's wasted on a story with an underdeveloped premise and a boring cast of characters that are never given anything interesting to work with. The film is often regarded as one of the worst Pixar films, and while that's rather debatable, it's easy to see why it would be viewed so negatively.

The Good Dinosaur is pretty subpar for Pixar and one of the first times that I realized they weren't infallible. There are still some pretty strong emotional moments throughout this film but didn't care about much that was happening especially with that family that had those over the top accents. Didn't work for me.
