  • A delightful, infectious musical with wonderful set-pieces, warmth at its heart, and some impressively catchy songs. Now give us the sequel!

  • The Greatest Showman took the world by storm when it first came out. I have my personal complaints about the circus industry (animal cruelty, exploitation of workers, etc.), so those general concerns made it a little difficult for me to get fully immersed in the story and cheer on the characters. However, Hugh Jackman's performance was stellar and the songs "Rewrite the Stars," "A Million Dreams," and "Never Enough," and "This Is Me" are so emotionally charged and beautiful that I still listen to them sometimes.

  • A bit too slight on the actual history of the main character but Hugh Jackman rocks in this movie. The music is so good throughout this entire thing but Never Enough is easily the standout moment for me. I completely understand the look on Hugh Jackman's face when he is watching Rebecca Ferguson at that moment.

  • I don't really care for musicals. It takes a lot for me to be willing to sit down and enjoy one because I really enjoy a good story and singing for some reason always just takes me out of it. However, the showmanship associated with these songs and how they basically are part of the plot (literally performing, not just singing randomly), makes me love them. Each one is such a spectacle and I live for every second of it and I can't think of two better people to have done this than Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron. It really is ironic that Zac Efron became famous for being in a musical, where he didn't even sing (the first one, technically) and now he is an excellent performer and singer. There's nothing super deep beyond this other than obvious messages in the film, but it's such a good time and I love it every time I watch it.

  • I have to give it a 3 out of somewhat obligation, because The Greatest Showman is really not a GREAT movie. But it does have catchy music, and is very enjoyable. It's a guilty pleasure for me, even if it could not be further from the true story.

4/10

The Greatest Showman is a disted, glossy, sugar-coated mess that just skates by on Jackman's natural charm and charisma.
