The first Disney+ Star Wars show had one of the best first two seasons I can think of. Din Djarin is such a compelling protagonist and you can just tell that this is a labor of love for Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau. While season 3 wasn't quite as up to par with seasons 1 and 2, it was dealing with the aftereffects of the Book of Boba Fett. I think the future is bright for this show and Grogu is one of the most interesting and mysterious characters ever. I love it!

Despite having one of the best starts to a Star Wars project, The Mandalorian's later seasons suffer a notable drop in quality between things like spending too much time on cameos and setting up future stories and ultimately giving the cast progressively less to do. That being said, it's still fun to watch more often than not with plenty of great costume designs, set pieces, and fight scenes, so old and new Star Wars fans alike can still get a lot out of it.

Although I eventually grew tired of all the Baby Yoda memes and merch (although he is cute!), the Mandalorian is an excellent spin-off show with stellar visuals and interesting backstory that Star Wars fans are sure to enjoy.

The Mandalorian had a strong start, a lone wanderer and his adoptive child wandering the stars, but along the way it became muddled and unsure of its identity between shared universe ambitions, backdoor pilots, and a lack of varied voices. Even with a team of talented directors leading to stellar individual episodes, the overall narrative has lost its way, and it is in need of the opportunity to carve out a new identity beyond rolling out fan favorites.

The Mandalorian started out strong with compelling characters and a clear goal to tell a different kind of Star Wars story. However after season two it has slipped into mediocracy mixing in too many characters from the rest of the franchise to the point of the main character playing a ing role in his own show. The puppet fro Grogu was wonderful to watch in season one but with each season has been reduced to a prop to be literally thrown around, with its stiff and ridiculous movements. The most frustrating part is the team behind the show are fantastic, but suffer from too much meddling.

This is definitely the second best Star Wars series after Andor, it would be a tie if it wasn't for season 3.

An absolute masterclass in classic Star Wars storytelling; a perfect balance between a character-driven narrative and the sci-fi, fantasy blend that this franchise is known for. Without this show, the others simply would not exist. Because of that, The Mandalorian will always be the standard for me.

The Mandalorian arrived at a time when Star Wars needed it most. In 2019, audiences were divided over stories that were relying far too much on nostalgia. The Mandalorian was fresh yet familiar, delivering a brand-new array of characters on many new planets. The story was also something everyone could not only appreciate, but also relate to. Everyone yearns to be wanted and loved, even when they're used to moving through the world on their own. Din Djarin and Grogu both get to find that in each other.

Seasons 1 and 2 are Star Wars perfection to me. They advance the story beautifully while faithfully adapting the classic episodic storytelling and narrative aspects of a traditional Western, making Din Djarin truly feel like a space cowboy. Though there's a plethora of Star Wars cameos in season 2, the lack of them in season 1, along with the way these cameos never cause the story to lose sight of Din and Grogu themselves, help to balance them out. I can, and have, watched these two seasons endlessly, and I never grow tired of them.

Season 3 is certainly the weaker link for me, but it's still a good Star Wars story. What doesn't hit as hard for me is the way Din and Grogu were lost within the narrative; this show absolutely needs them at the core of its storytelling at all times, and season 3 didn't quite accomplish that. Despite this, I will always hold this show at a five-star ranking, as The Mandalorian will always be my favorite Star Wars project ever.

And a special shoutout to Pedro Pascal's incredible performance as Din Djarin, in every single moment. This is the Way.

Started off strong but got redundant after season 1. Lacks a clear leitmotiv to the story.

It took a while to get me to watch Mando, but once I did, I was hooked, lined, and sunk. I absolutely adore Mando and Grogu. I was there in the 70's, watching Star Wars at the theaters. I was mesmerized at the special effects. Luke was my hero. Now at 60, Mando is. But to have both my heroes at the end of season 3, when Luke came for Grogu, I felt I needed a cigarette...lol I was ecstatic and felt in a state of euphoria. FYI, I knew it was Luke just by his style of fighting, the xwing, and the force push, were all dead giveaways. Thank you George Lucas for igniting my my teen years with imagination and thank you John Favreau, sorry if I spelled it wrong, for continuing the legacy and keeping it amazing. Plz keep Kennedy out of the the Mando verse. You must keep season 4 in production. I want to see it befor I die.

OMG. How could they cancel this show...if The "gammers" didn't like it..(a rumor i heard) I did...so much...I've been through this before..."Almost Human" and "Firefly", "Dead Boy Detective..." etc. I find the fact that intelligent entertainment only survives if it makes money, obviously...what a shame.. Fox and Netflix especially!

The first live-action Star Wars series on Disney+, The Mandalorian will always be one of my favorite shows. Starring Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, the Mandalorian bounty hunter's entire life is forever altered when he's hired by the fracture Empire to retrieve Grogu (aka the one and only "Baby Yoda"). However, Djarin decides to keep the child under his care and return him to his people (the Jedi), kickstarting a grand adventure for the duo during the New Republic Era that has since spanned 3 seasons with an movie on the way (The Mandalorian & Grogu).

Coming from Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, The Mandalorian is an amazing Star Wars show even in its weakest moments (which are few). Although a good chunk of Din Djarin and Grogu's post-season 2 arc is found in The Book of Boba Fett ahead of the third season, their adventures together are incredibly exciting nonetheless as they transform into an adoptive father and son duo traveling the galaxy between the original and sequel trilogies of films.

Featuring exciting character appearances, dynamic villains (like Giancarlo Esposito Moff Gideon), expansions of canonical Mandalorian lore, and more, there's a reason why The Mandalorian has become the cultural phenomenon it has (while also being a personal favorite).

While Grogu is one of the main parts of the story here, Mando is still equally as important. Please don't forget his importance.

When I first started watching this show when it began to come out, I wasn't that impressed. Eventually, everything sort of clicked for me and I was hooked. Have been hooked for all three seasons and definitely looking forward to the movie. Hopefully more seasons to come after that.
