  • This was such a unique movie. It starts out as like a typical style thriller/horror where Beth's husband has died and you slowly start to learn more about his life and it turns out he wasn't the simple sweet husband she thought he was. However, when you learn what he ACTUALLY was doing, this is so insane! The idea was so different and interesting and I was captivated the entire time. There were even points of this that genuinely freaked me out so much I almost had tears in my eyes (specifically when she's receiving the horrific texts). Furthermore, the way this was shot is GENIUS. Using the negative space to create a presence is such a fascinating way of shooting and creating a fear of the unseen without just using like a mist or vague figure. This made it feel like the figure was GENUINELY like ingrained in everything around her which just added to the terror. It was phenomenal. Had no business being this good, I wish more people knew about it.

8/10

The film is replete with emotional explorations of grief and mental health; it also thoroughly terrifies through sound, visuals, and a proper buildup.
