Synopsis
The Trial of the Chicago 7 focuses on a group of people protesting the Vietnam War who were charged with conspiracy and accused of inciting riots across state lines. In many ways the movie Aaron Sorkin was born to make - hokey Liberal nostalgia for activism past, but so rooted in genuine and ongoing injustices that you'll leave burning with rage at the injustices of the world and energized to do something about them. Some truly great lines and, as per Sorkin's standard, shameless in its sincerity to varying effect.
