  • A dark, creepy film that doesn't quite stick the landing, but is still a horrific ride. All the performances are great here, from the main cast to the ing roles. I still think only of this film when I hear "I Got 5 On It."

  • On a script and performance level, the best Jordan Peele film in my opinion. Lupita N'yongo was absolutely robbed of a Best Actress Oscar nod for this!

  • Think this is Jordan Peele's weakest movie but that means that it is still really good. Some truly terrifying moments throughout and I think it is dealing with some pretty interesting themes all around. Love how original it feels though. Always down for directors that are really going for it.

  • Absolutely LOVE this movie. Jordan Peele has a refreshing, unique way of handling cinematography, scene writing, and sound design for his movies. From the moment the film opens on a singular rabbit, then zooms out to a wall full of rabbit cages to an eerie yet not "scary" vocal track, I was hooked. The plot was excellently laid out with a perfectly placed "gotcha" moment where you knew the truth all along, and the twist and turns and postulations on "What is happening!?" made the movie extremely exciting. One of my favorite but most important aspects for this movie is how organic conversations are between the family . They cut each other off, talk over one another, and genuinely converse rather than pure "Exposition Dialogue" that is so incredibly common these days. I've loved every Jordan Peele film and am sure he will continue to please.
