WHERE TO WATCH

  • I know people might think this is better than the first film, but I thought it was pretty boring honestly. Wish Carnage was more compelling. Tom Hardy is still so strange as Eddie Brock but he makes it work in the context of this franchise. Thought the pseudo-romantic tension between Eddie and Venom to work quite well.

  • Romcom sequels usually just don't capture the magic, but Venom: Let There Be Carnage brings back the great chemistry Tom Hardy has with CGI Tom Hardy. I couldn't tell you what Woody Harrelson's Carnage was up to at all, but the plot isn't really the point of these movies. It's to watch Tom Hardy have the time of his life playing two weird little guys who are in fact the same weird big guy.

  • I really liked Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Tom Hardy shines in this role and his interactions with the Venom creature that happens to be a parasitic part of him he can't escape are pretty hilarious and their chemistry is excellent.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage Review - Hardy’s Sequel Is Chaotic & Flawed But Fun
5/10

Venom: Let There Be Carnage delivers some more of what works - Eddie and Venom's dynamic - though everything around them remains quite messy.
