As a giant fan of this show, and having never read the books prior, this show was done so well, that 'NEW' WOT fans are able to understand and enjoy the storyline and sideplots,etc. without having to constantly read up online about it in order to understand it. I really wish the diehard book fans would get over their highly irrational attitudes that the show runners aren't doing well enough to make the show identical to the books. I dont understand why we have to keep going over this, but here we are again: THERE IS NO VIABLE WAY to turn books 101% into video. It simply CANNOT be done. Its a matter of apples and oranges. Stop with all the jeers, and the nay-saying, its tired, its corny, and its borderline offensive. Consider the AMOUNT OF work, blood, sweat and tears from these actors, and more appropriately, THE REST of the shows employees, the production crew, the direction crew, and all the other people down to the extras. Its not only a smack in their face, how would you like it if you put your heart and soul into doing something of this magnitude, just to hear the peanut gallery booing you because it wasnt done the way YOU think it shouldve. I say: if you're THAT frustrated with Amazon's Wheel of time, a)-dont watch it, OR .. b) make a better "100% true to the books VERSION YOURSELF!!! ayeayeaye!!!

This show is absolutely brilliant and undoubtedly the best out there, even if it doesn't adhere strictly to the books! I appreciate everything about it, especially the characters and the way the story is told. They have done an exceptional job of creating a narrative that is both beautiful and thrilling!

I don't the problems. I read Jordans series about 25 years ago and have revisited the series several times since. When it's d it doesn't say word for word adaptation of the books does it ? It says based on. Art is a perception not a law . I think it's great and there's simply no need to be so puritanical. Get over yours and enjoy something decent to watch in stead of the constant reruns of 30-40 yr programs. Saying that everyone is entitled to their opinion.

While it does deviate from the books a bit, they are still doing an excellent job of telling the story. WoT is probably the best books I've read. The series is just different enough that it's not like a rerun of the books. Telling the same basic story from a slightly different perspective. Great job!

When I first dove into this show, I hadn't actually read any of the books. Now, I'm three installments in, and that's left me with an interesting impression of the show. I don't love its breakneck pace, as I think the story suffers as a result, but I do think its production and costume design does a great job of bringing Robert Jordan's world to life, and the cast is excellent, especially Rosamund Pike as Moiraine. Very curious to see how it sustains itself in future seasons.

My favourite book series and favourite show. They are many differences but I love that we are getting a new turning of the wheel. It’s exciting to see what’s coming and I hope it continues!

The more I watch, the better it gets. Trust is rebuilding fast with the show runner and writers. Pay offs that couldn't be explained before suddenly arriving in Season 2 and more so in Season 3. What a time to be alive.

Having read all 15 books (repeatedly) I was disappointed in all the changes made by the show. However, as a stand-alone show, it is well produced, and I will continue watching (if only to see what else they decide to change). Robert Jordan's books have been a part of my life for over 30 years. One wonders what Mr. Jordan would think about how his story has been changed so much.

While some literature is difficult to matchup to the grandeur of a book, or series of books, that paint a vivid picture in ones mind, as they follow the story.

The Wheel of Time, seems to be missing a lot, which is probably because they are trying to fit it into a smaller window of time, that the producers have decided on.

The actors chosen for key rolls match up well with their book descriptions. The missing parts of the story can be jarring.

Putting aside the knowledge from having read the books. It is a good series, with great actors, telling a story of intrigue and drama.

I would be happy to watch this series again, and hope they do the full story arc,[minus 'the fat' taken out], and are able to treat the IP the way it deserves.

The Weel of Time series amazing. I know it isn't following the books closely but that is a no brainer.... it would be not only impossible but boring to watch if it did. They have adapted the series in a very interesting way. Each time a season finishes I eagerly await updates on the next season.

I've watched season 1 and 2 at least 10 times each and so far the 1st 3 episodes of season 3 several times while waiting for the next episode to air. I love the shows.

I absolutely love the show! It’s so captivating that I just can’t get enough! Since I haven’t read the books, the changes totally work for me. I really hope they renew it for all eight seasons. It’s so frustrating how many great shows are getting cut short or have ended without replacement. I’m beyond thrilled about the season!

This is an excellent series. Can’t wait for season four don’t let us down make sure there’s a season 4 There is so much to look forward to in this series. It truly makes me happy.

The show, much like the books, has gotten better and better. The acting, the storylines, the vfx, the EVERYTHING is TOP NOTCH. So now Amazon Prime Video and Sony TV HAVE TO come together and finish the series. Rafe already said he can do all 15 books in 8 Seasons. The ball is in your court PRIME/SONY.

Excellent film locations, effects, costumery and acting! Like a cross between Lord of the Rings and The Witcher 👍 After binge watching the first 2 seasons and the first 3 episodes of season 3, will have to wait patiently for each new weekly episode! Just a shame that we'll have to wait 2 years for season 4! 😭 That there are 15 books in the Wheel of Time series, there's plenty of scope for future series from Prime!! Wouldn't it be great if they could produce 2 series worth of writing/filming at a time!!

I am also a huge fan of the show. I read the books years ago, I appreciate that it is not a word for word make of the original.

Be real: if it was, you wouldn't live to see the end of it. The actors children wouldn't live to play their parents roles to the final battle. It's such a large, cumbersome body of work.

It can be hard for someone who hasn't read the books to keep up (I recommend buddy watching with someone who has, and isn't a bitter t**t about the book/show conversion). It has become easier for newbies to follow as the show has progressed. The acting has improved. Special effects and characters have developed tremendously. One of the best fantasy series in the last decade for sure.

I began reading 'The Wheel of Time' when I was not yet a teenager. I grew into adulthood with this series as a co-pilot. My moral foundations, self esteem, & how I saw the world around me were all shaped by reading these books (& many others like them).

I've been a lifelong reader who takes humble pride in her Goodreads check list. "The Wheel of Time" is among some of the strongest influences of my life, and remains one of my all time favorite book series.

So, to say that TWOT takes a well earned spot at the top of the list is saying a lot.

It is without a doubt, an amazing literary experience. Truly one of the best.

Regarding the television series, for what I've seen so far (up to middle of Season 3), consider this a standing ovation! Bravo!

Amazon, and all the individuals who have helped put "The Wheel of Time" onto the screen, are doing such a wonderful job.

I'm sincerely enjoying watching this all unfold, and I'm grateful to be able to say this.

While there will always be critics, and you can't please all the people all the time, I wanted the cast, the crew - everyone behind this epic show to know that what they are doing is #$&@ing awesome!!!

I don't have any regrets in my life, but if I were pressed to come up with one, it would be that I didn't get the honor to be a part of this group of artists who are creating such a spot on adaptation of one of the best fantasy series written (since Tolkien invented the genre).

As a non reader of the books I had no preconceived ideas as to how the story should unfold. I totally love the story telling and the characters. Extremely well done.

My favorite fantasy show on television right now. I cannot believe that Amazon has yet to renew it for the next few seasons. This better not be the last season.

Great show. Manages to be both fast-paced, gripping, visually spectacular and interesting with its twists that can surprise even with deviations that manages to be true to the overall story line but still surprising for an experienced book lover like myself.

Having read all the books. I am viewing this as a completely new story. And wow I am really enjoying it
