Your Name really is that good. Love rom coms and this one does it so well with a wonderful sci-fi twist. The two main characters are so well developed here that you can't help but want to cheer for them all the way until the end. One of my favorite endings in a long time. Radwimps and Shinkai make a dynamic duo that should never end. Love this movie so much.

My introduction to Makoto Shinkai, and one of my favorite films of all time. I enjoyed seeing the cross-country body-swap and romance unfold alongside the amazing visuals, but the twist had me on the edge of my seat and my heart racing. If I could, I would love to watch this movie all over again with fresh eyes to recapture that feeling, few films have left me so emotional.

Between its gorgeous visuals, amazing soundtrack courtesy of Radwimps, and a love story that's beautiful in both its premise and execution, Your Name is a nigh-flawless anime film that's more than earned its stellar reputation. The only flaw in the film is it being paced too fast at times and a slightly uneven amount of focus between the leads, but it's still great to watch, and it's easy to see why it made Makoto Shinkai a household name.
