After completing a total of 149 shows on The Eras Tour, Taylor Swift managed to perform nearly every song in her discography live, aside from 8 notable songs. Swift's fixed setlist alone was composed of 44 songs by the end of the tour, not including the acoustic section where Swift would challenge herself with playing different songs every night. By the end of the tour, Swift also endeavored to not only play new songs, but to also create brand-new mashups, typically totaling around 4 songs in that section per night.
At the beginning of the tour, Swift set specific rules for herself in this section, in that she wouldn't and couldn't repeat songs unless she messed up while performing them and thus had to redo them later. As the tour went on, however, Swift began to bend her own rules, opting to replay a few of the things of her own accord before beginning the mashups later on. Much of this had to do with the fact that Swift would have simply run out of brand-new songs to play, but even then, Swift still skipped over these 8 songs.
The following list doesn't include collaborations that Swift is featured on, though there were a few that she opted not to play at The Eras Tour.
8 I Heart ?
Album: Taylor Swift (Best Buy Digital Edition) (2006) / Beautiful Eyes EP (2008)
Given the fact that "I Heart ?" is one of 13 songs Swift has never played live before, it's not entirely surprising that this song wasn't played at The Eras Tour. This song isn't even available on streaming platforms at the time of writing. "I Heart ?" was originally added to the digital edition of Taylor Swift at Best Buy during the first week of its release, but it otherwise didn't see an official release until it was added to Swift's Beautiful Eyes EP in 2008, released prior to Fearless.

What's Taylor Swift Doing Next Now That The Eras Tour Is Over?
After 149 shows played over the course of nearly two full years, Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour has officially come to an end. What's next for Swift?
Fans have long since been wondering if Swift will add "I Heart ?" to Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version), but if Swift's pickings from her Eras Tour "Surprise Songs" are anything to go off of, then it seems quite unlikely at this time. Again, this isn't entirely surprising, as "I Heart ?" barely got a release and clearly isn't one of Swift's favorites - especially as a song that Swift wrote when she was thirteen. Still, it does have some fan appreciation, which makes it quite disappointing that it never made it to the acoustic section.
7 That's When (Feat. Keith Urban) (Taylor's Version) [From The Vault]
Album: Fearless (Taylor's Version) (2021)
The first of two unplayed songs from Fearless (Taylor's Version), "That's When" has another fairly solid reasoning behind why it was never performed at The Eras Tour. As a duet with Keith Urban, it could be that Swift simply didn't want to play this song without having Urban perform it with her, regardless of the fact Swift had filled in for missing collaborators on other songs during the acoustic section. It's easy to imagine that this one in particular was special for Swift, given Urban's early influence on her as an artist.
Another fact that's hard to deny is just how long Fearless (Taylor's Version) is, and that Swift had already played nearly every single track off the album - both the original songs and those that were added to Taylor's Version. It's reasonable to assume, then, that Swift opted to play Fearless (Taylor's Version) tracks that were more highly requested, and didn't endeavor to play every song from the album when she could dedicate those slots to her other albums to make it a more rounded-out experience. Regardless, it would be nice to hear this one played live one day.
6 Bye Bye Baby (Taylor's Version) [From The Vault]
Album: Fearless (Taylor's Version) (2021)
Yet another unplayed track from Fearless (Taylor's Version) is "Bye Bye Baby", though the absence of this one, particularly near the end, was more surprising for some fans. As the final guesses came in about what Swift would play during her last three shows, "Bye Bye Baby" was one of the most theorized, as it has yet to ever be played live before, and it thematically made sense in saying goodbye to The Eras Tour. Of course, as it turned out, Swift didn't opt to play this one, instead focusing on other thematically appropriate songs.
It could simply be a case of Swift wanting to prioritize other songs over this one, perhaps due to her own personal preference.
It's harder to understand why "Bye Bye Baby" was never played by Swift on The Eras Tour, especially when it's not even one of the lesser streamed songs from Fearless (Taylor's Version). There are a variety of other songs that have fewer streams than "Bye Bye Baby" off the same album that Swift did play on The Eras Tour, such as "Superstar" and "Today Was a Fairytale." It could simply be a case of Swift wanting to prioritize other songs over this one, perhaps due to her own personal preference.
5 Ronan
Album: Red (2013) / Red (Taylor's Version) (2021)
There's no surprise behind why "Ronan" wasn't played at The Eras Tour. A song written about the real story of a child named Ronan Thompson who sadly died at the age of 3 after a battle with neuroblastoma, this isn't a song Swift would ever opt to play live without good reason to do so. The only two times Swift has played this live include its initial performance at a Stand Up 2 Cancer telethon and at a show on the 1989 Tour that Ronan's mother, Maya, was attending.
It's quite easy to understand, then, why "Ronan" was never played on The Eras Tour. The song clearly carries a heavy, meaningful weight of its own, which means Swift wouldn't have considered performing it for just any audience. It's a similar justification for why she never played another song on this list on The Eras Tour, as that carries a similar meaning as well. As lovely as it would have been to hear this heartfelt song, fans certainly understand why it never graced The Eras Tour stage.
4 Forever Winter (Taylor's Version) [From The Vault]
Album: Red (Taylor's Version) (2021)
Another song that's quite personal to Swift, "Forever Winter", has a similar reason for not having been included during The Eras Tour. In this song, Swift sings about a close friend who's going through something difficult, and fans have since theorized that - given matching timelines - this song is likely about a friend of Swift's who ultimately ended up ing away at a young age. That very real emotion would no doubt make it difficult for Swift to bring this song to life, seeing as she has yet to ever sing it live before.

What Taylor Swift's All Too Well 10 Minute Version Lyrics Mean
Taylor Swift's 10-minute All Too Well version is supposedly about her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal. Here's a deeper dive into the song's lyrics.
While The Eras Tour certainly had its important and emotional moments, playing this particular track may have been a step too far for Swift if she did indeed opt to do it. Not only that, but there was also higher demand for some of the other songs on Red (Taylor's Version), and seeing as she also elected to keep two songs from Fearless (Taylor's Version) unplayed, she may have taken a similar approach with Red. This is evidenced by the fact that there's another song from this album that Swift didn't play on The Eras Tour.
3 Girl At Home
Album: Red (2013) / Red (Taylor's Version) (2021)
While Swift did ultimately opt to rerecord "Girl At Home" for Red (Taylor's Version), it's still quite a controversial track for her fans. Opinions on this song have been divided for many years, with some insisting that the lyrics are written in poor taste, while others simply don't care for its overall melody and upbeat tune. Of course, there are also fans who are quite dedicated to loving this track, particularly for its more playful lyricism and easy-to-sing-along-with melody.
In the end, however, this track did not make it to the acoustic section of The Eras Tour - and, in fact, it still has yet to ever be played live by Swift. Apparently, Swift has already insisted before that she won't ever play this one live, due to the controversy it struck up around her fans, though this is solely a word-of-mouth belief around the fandom as of now. With "Ronan" not being played for a different reason, it seems that "Girl At Home" s "Forever Winter" as the two Red (Taylor's Version) tracks sacrificed for the sake of others.
2 Soon You'll Get Better (Feat. The Chicks)
Album: Lover (2019)
"Soon You'll Get Better" shares a similar meaning with "Ronan" for Swift, as the song was penned as Swift's mother, Andrea, was fighting her own battle against cancer. No doubt an extremely trying and turbulent time in Swift's life, it's easy to imagine why she may not have wanted to rehash those hard times on something as lighthearted as The Eras Tour. While the song itself isn't much of a downer, it's the principle of the thing, and is especially delicate when considering the fact that Swift's mother was in attendance for every show.
The song simply carries too much weight, and with Swift endeavoring to play as much of her discography as possible, she prioritized songs that both she and her audience could thoroughly enjoy.
Another factor behind why Swift never opted to play this one is that it, like "That's When", features The Chicks, and she may not have wanted to perform it without them there to perform their part. It seems much more likely, though, that Swift didn't play this one for the same reason that she didn't play "Ronan." The song simply carries too much weight, and with Swift endeavoring to play as much of her discography as possible, she prioritized songs that both she and her audience could thoroughly enjoy.
1 Christmas Tree Farm
Album: Christmas Tree Farm (Single) (2019)
Last is another option that some fans predicted for the final shows, given the quickly approaching holiday season: "Christmas Tree Farm." A song reminiscing on Swift's childhood, where she was raised on a Christmas tree farm, this is one of the many holiday-themed tracks Swift opted not to perform at The Eras Tour. Interestingly enough, however, it looked as if Swift was teasing the fact that she would perform it during the acoustic section at some point, based on an artwork change.
For a limited time, a friendship bracelet was added to the single cover of "Christmas Tree Farm", which is, of course, heavily associated with The Eras Tour itself. After the final shows, however, it's clear that this was meant as a tribute more than anything else, and it wasn't any true indication of Swift intending to play the song on her tour. This song has been performed live before, though, at iHeartRadio's 2019 Jingle Ball, a version that Taylor Swift has set up on streaming platforms as well.
