Kailyn announced legal action against Briana, who claimed Kailyn was cut from an episode because of an altercation with her children's father, Chris Lopez. Briana has now acknowledged Kailyn's legal action after weeks of no comment.

Kailyn filed the suit last month, alleging Briana had defamed the mother of four by asserting she had physically beat Chris and broke into and entered the home of Chris' mother. The lawsuit further accuses Briana of making the false claims for the purpose of causing Kailyn harm and to use the Teen Mom star to gain media attention. After the news of Kailyn's lawsuit broke, Briana made no initial comment, though she indicated on Instagram she was remaining chill and intended to remain on Teen Mom in the future. Briana has reportedly found legal representation since then. The mother of two has now acknowledged the lawsuit and gave her thoughts in a new report.

In a report from Celebuzz!, Briana said she will not accept Kailyn's charges "without a fight." Briana offered an exclusive statement to the media outlet "I think my lawyer did a fine job of explaining my position in the brief we filed,"Briana said. "If anything in that is not clear, you may direct questions to him. Aside from that, I will just say that I think this lawsuit was not a good use of the court system, and I look forward to the judge seeing it for what it is, and ending this as quickly as the judge can."

Briana then turned to an amendment in her filed defense statement, sharing: "My family emigrated to this great country because we were seeking freedom." She continued: "The greatest freedom we have is the First Amendment.  If someone wants to sue me for exercising my First Amendment rights, they are not only coming after me, but after the generations of freedom-seeking people who have made this the greatest country in the world. None of us will accept this without a fight." Briana reportedly recruited a high-profile lawyer for her legal defense. The Teen Mom star has hired Marc J. Randazza of the Randazza Legal Group. Randazza has appeared as a commentator on Infowars and CNN and the lawyer has represented several famous adult entertainment companies.

Kailyn and Briana's feud has played out in the public eye for several years, with former costar Jenelle Evans taking sides on their latest fight last week. Though the outcome of the legal dispute is unpredictable, the costar's bad blood won't expire anytime soon. As Kailyn's defamation suit moves forward with statements from Briana's representation, it's clear the legal battle will play out for Teen Mom fans in the months to come.
