While the Teen Titans are well-known, one of the could finally be playing a more prominent role in an ongoing WEBTOON series. Vixen: NYC Episode 18 introduced the blueprints for a costume that will mark the debut of Bumblebee in the series once it comes off the page. Although Karen Beecher has been present in the series, she has yet to take on a superhero role.

Karen initially debuted in Teen Titans #45 in 1976, taking the role of Bumblebee a year later in #48. However, she hasn't been one of the most well-known of the team. Typically, Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, Cyborg, Speedy, and Wonder Girl are the most recognizable. The team has had numerous iterations since its debut in the 1960s, but WEBTOON and DC's partnership could give one of the Teen Titans more page time.

Vixen: NYC has the creative team of Manou Azumi, Jasmine Walls, Omar Vallejos, Hailey Stewart, Toby Fan, BBM, Micah Myers, and Mickey Amani Kabwe. Episode 18 revealed Karen's special project, while Episode 24 sees her pulling out a box to help Mari Jiwe aka Vixen. It likely won't be long before Bumblebee makes her official debut. Considering the cast that has been included in the DC webcomic so far, it seems likely that the Teen Titans could be acquiring new in the near future.

Within this series, Karen has been Mari's roommate and faced danger as a result of the heroine's villainous uncle. Yet she has her own strengths which she appears to be playing on to move into her next chapter in the story. After being awarded a Maxwell Grant from Stella Maxwell, the young soon-to-be-heroine has been developing her own super suit. Titled Project Bumblebee, Karen's design has wings, goggles, and other components that have yet to be revealed. Considering her prowess in science and engineering, Bumblebee's suit is bound to be incredible once it sees action—even if it's currently just a beta model.

Already other Teen Titans (and heroes) have been seen in Vixen: NYC. Mari ran into Batman and Beast Boy. In Episode 24 Raven makes her WEBTOON debut as well, while Robin is only casually mentioned since his car is being borrowed. Yet, no other have appeared. Vixen has had team affiliations with the Justice League but has typically been portrayed as an adult. This has resulted in her not having very many run-ins with the Teen Titans and never being part of the team herself. Bumblebee, contrarily, has, though never as a star member. Vixen: NYC could be providing a roster shake up since a team-up is already underway and both the titular heroine and her roommate are still in training. The Teen Titans could be ready to debut Bumblebee in a bigger role and welcome a new member to the team, if Vixen doesn't create her own all-star team first with her current allies.
