Teen Wolf introduced its audience to numerous characters over its 6 seasons, and pretty much all of them were great to watch. This includes both the main and ing cast, and many characters have managed to become fan favorites.
Fans often like to discuss their favorite characters on the website Reddit, and over multiple threads, a certain number of cast are able to stand out amongst the rest. Because of this, audiences can assume that these characters are the best out of the whole show, and are characters definitely worth talking about.
Theo Raeken
Despite Theo being a villain for a lot of his time on the show, fans love him anyway. As argued by Reddit PrincessPhantom, "I disliked him at first. But once I started to see all the trauma he had gone through and that he was only trying to survive, I started to see myself in him and by the end of the show he was my favourite character."
Theo is definitely a character that grows and changes as the show goes on, therefore he is very interesting to watch. He's both a charismatic villain and a sympathetic hero, which makes him a great character to suit anyone's taste.
Malia Tate
When asked who the best character is, Reddit Dear_Performance_788 states, "I'm gonna go with Malia. She's so funny and beautiful and I loved her relationship with Stiles, they were so cute together. She was also very protective of Scott."
Malia is a very funny character to watch as she adjusts to human life. She is the most morally gray person in Scott's Pack, but that makes it all the more satisfying to watch her choose to be good, which viewers can see through her relationships with the other of the Pack. And while her coupling with Stiles didn't last, they were always adorable together.
Liam Dunbar
When Liam ed the show in season 4, many fans thought he was a welcome addition. According to Redditor kicksituptenfold, "I think his dynamic adds a good change for the team. It was really cool to see him battle his anger, especially in the later episodes like when Nolan was trying to get him to turn. I also liked seeing his battle to becoming less dependent on Scott and trying to step into his shoes."
Liam's anger was both a point of humor and conflict, which made him a very interesting character to watch. And seeing him become the hero that Scott was, was a great direction for the show to go in.
Scott Mccall
While Redditors often have unpopular opinions about Scott, they also have a lot of nice things to say about him. Redditor _yyishuu_ believes that Scott being the best character is "rather obvious. Scott McCall may not have been such a traditional alpha with a strict hierarchy, but he lead his pack through thick and thin and always made it out the other side. Plus he made more allies than enemies by leading the way that he did, which helped him out in the long run."
Scott definitely was an irable character, both in his fighting prowess and his comion, and fans love to watch him grow into a leader as the series progresses.
Allison Argent
Allison is very likable, and per Lullybella765, "I loved her from day one. I like how she can be sweet when things are fine but a badass when she has to be, I love how after season 2 she grows into an even stronger person and stands up for her own morals, going against her family and finally changing the "code" by the end of season 3A, and I find it awesome how she doesn't need to be supernatural to be powerful."
Allison being one of the strongest human characters in Teen Wolf definitely adds to her coolness as a character, and she is both a great love interest and a great foil to Scott.
Danny Māhealani
Redditor quest_for_reality has many nice things to say about Danny: "To begin, he is a genuinely nice, friendly, helpful and caring person. When Jackson starts “turning” Danny can tell there’s something “off” with him. He doesn’t press the issue, but we’re shown a couple of times that Danny is concerned about his friend. I also adore Danny’s relationships with other characters, especially Stiles. They have a very comedic, back-and-forth relationship and it always makes for the best scenes and one-liners."
Furthermore, Redditors love that while Danny was more of a side character, he eventually revealed that he knew about the supernatural, and he never let that change his relationship with the other characters.
Derek Hale
Despite there being things about Derek that have aged poorly, he has always remained a fan-favorite. According to Triskelemockingbird, "Derek plays a very interesting role in the entire show. Starting off as a bad guy, and then phasing into this wholesome character. Letting his guard down enough to let the pack in after losing his family. It’s like watching the stages of grief in live-action. His sass is also something that is very welcoming. Those damn eyebrows can speak for themselves!"
Derek is surprisingly a very fun character considering how serious he can be, which leads to a lot of funny interactions and wholesome moments when he lets his serious front slip.
Lydia Martin
Lydia really started to grow on people after season 1. As stated by Redditor iliveformyships, "The best character for me is Lydia. Her character is well written and she has the most beautiful character development. I didn't like her back in Season 1 but when she started embracing her powers, and giving everything she can/has for her friends, that's when I fell in love with her character."
Lydia does start off as a mean girl, but then she embraces her intelligence and becomes a loving friend. Lydia does still give some really shady burns throughout the series, but it's all part of her charm.
Isaac Lahey
Isaac, who first appeared in season 2, was instantly beloved. As stated by Redditor hernmari, "Isaac was my FAVORITE! First reason because he is gorgeous and angelic. Secondly, I felt like his werewolf reactions were very realistic of a teenage werewolf. Super quick to temper and fast reacting. React first and evaluate later."
Isaac sadly left the show at the end of season 3B, and he was sorely missed by Redditors such as TheBiteIsAGift: "I really want to know where he is right now, I missed him in the last seasons of Teen Wolf, we really needed him. I hope he is okay in or wherever."
Stiles Stilinski
Stiles is generally the most popular character amongst fans, and on Reddit, this is no different. As stated by Redditor Triskelemockingbird, "The character arc is simply amazing. He is not supernatural, so he is super relatable as almost the odd man out. Stiles just pulls emotion out of you. Now maybe it’s because Dylan O’Brien is an amazing actor and played Stiles from nerdy to void in a breathtaking manner, but dang!"
Stiles was definitely a character that stood out due to his lack of powers and his amazing turn as the Nogitsune. The fact that he was loved by almost all the other characters is very true to life.
