It is still unclear how many and which of these original characters the movie will include, but the following were the ones that were in the most episodes of the show.

Allison Argent - 48 Episodes

Allison was one of the most beloved characters on the show, and coincidentally, her death was the most heartbreaking moment of season 3. Many fans felt the show was never the same after Allison was gone, especially after having played such a vital part in the 3 seasons she was featured in.

Due to her rebellious nature and her constant struggle between obligations to her family and love for her friends, Allison didn't always have it easy on the show. Ultimately finding some balance, changing her family's legacy for the better, she ends up giving her life to save her best friend.

Liam Dunbar - 49 Episodes

Also called "The Beta With Anger Issues," Liam ed Scott's pack out of necessity. Scott gave him the bite in order to save his life and he was his first bitten Beta (the other ed his pack in other ways). Liam struggled with anger, which made him more powerful but also made his powers more difficult to control.

He was easily manipulated by Theo Raeken to turn against Scott, which resulted in him being estranged from the pack for a while until they made amends. Liam was the person who took over for Scott and his friends when they were heading off to college, essentially taking over the role of the town protector.

Malia Hale - 55 Episodes

Malia was often used as comic relief on the show that kept getting more serious with each season. Due to living most of her life as a coyote, her lack of inhibition meant she didn't have a filter like most people do, which often resulted in some hilarious comments.

Her arc is one of the bigger ones, taking her from a girl with animalistic nature to one who cares for her friends and would do anything to protect them. She ed Scott's pack and remained a huge part of the show until its ending in season 6. She felt a deep connection to Stiles and even after breaking up, he remained her friend and anchor.

Derek Hale - 63 Episodes

Derek was the person who gave Scott the bite and was initially his werewolf mentor, helping him with the transition. Despite them going their separate ways due to their morals misaligning, they remained close throughout the show and fought more than one supernatural battle together.

He was a character hungry for power since the beginning. He built his pack to gain strength as alpha and then gave his alpha spark up to save his sister after already losing most of his pack, resulting in one of the best quotes on Teen Wolf where he its he "doesn't care about power. Not anymore." His most important arc arguably happened in season 6 when he regained all his werewolf powers and even the ability to shift to full wolf form. He briefly appeared in the series finale to help the pack fight for the last time.

Melissa McCall - 71 Episodes

When fans think of Melissa McCall, "fierce" might be the word that comes to mind. Since the very first episode, Scott's mom was a character nobody wanted to mess with. The single mother working as a nurse had to be tough as nails in order to get herself and her troubled son through life.

Aside from being extremely maternal and comionate - not only to Scott but to other characters, like Stiles and Isaac - she was also very courageous in her acceptance of the supernatural. After learning her son was a werewolf, she briefly struggled before fully immersing herself in Scott's world. Despite her worries for her son's safety, she seems to accept that protecting their town from supernatural threats is his calling.

Chris Argent - 74 Episodes

Allison's dad first, supernatural hunter second, Chris was one of the most complex and interesting characters on the show. Having lost his entire family to the supernatural in one way or another, his daughter prompted him to see the flaws in his family legacy and he became a strong ally to Scott, working with him even after Allison's death.

His most powerful storyline was realizing the faults of his family and actively working against them. For years, he deluded himself into believing that they were protecting the innocent when really, often it was the other way around. His view of things was often black and white, and when Stiles was possessed by a Nogitsune, he wanted to shoot him, even though he knew Stiles was still inside.

Sherrif Noah Stilinski - 88 Episodes

A fan-favorite character, Sherrif Stilinski combined the humor he clearly ed on to his son Stiles and the emotional side of being a single dad, struggling to raise his son right. Even though Stiles was quite the trouble-maker, Stilinski's love never wavered and only occasionally got overshadowed by his annoyance when Stiles interfered with his job.

After learning of the supernatural, he was one of the biggest allies to the McCall pack, even though he struggled with the secrecy and coverups that came with his knowledge. He did his best to help his son stay out of trouble and was always there when that didn't work.

Stiles Stilinski - 92 Episodes

Initially, he was intended to be the funny goofy best friend to Scott's main character. Despite being thrown into the supernatural world with little warning, Stiles provided emotional to his friend and helped him navigate the newness of the situation without (too much) judging.

However, his character also evolved outside of the Scott/Stiles friendship, developing an interesting friendship with Derek Hale and romantic feelings for Lydia Martin (which started as a crush but grew into something more eventually). He even became the best character of Teen Wolf's season 3 as the villain when he became the Nogitsune, in one of the best plotlines of the series.

Lydia Martin - 100 Episodes

Nobody would argue that Lydia was the smartest character on Teen Wolf. Her academic success combined with her natural talent was one of the characteristics that got the pack out of many stressful situations. Despite being portrayed as a shallow popular girl at the beginning, she had great character development and became an irreplaceable part of the McCall Pack, especially after discovering her Banshee powers.

Despite being popular with boys, she eventually falls in love with Stiles, even though they don't get together until the last season. Stydia, as fans called them, was the most popular ship on the show and one of the best slow-burn romances of all time.

Scott McCall - 100 Episodes

Even though he wasn't always the most likable character on Teen Wolf, Scott McCall was the pack leader and town protector. He strived to do good and help people even in the face of adversity and often seemed to carry the burden of the world on his shoulders. Feeling responsible for all his friends and family at such a young age couldn't have been an easy burden to bear.

Despite being the main character, Scott McCall could rarely get it right in the eyes of the fans. Scott was often considered a bad protagonist, and it was clear he made his fair share of mistakes. He could be self-righteous at times, but sometimes it seemed he got blamed for his mistakes more than other characters, like "trusting the bad guys," when Derek did too. On the other hand, he was criticized for not trusting the twins after they played a part in Boyd's death.
