Teen Wolf is generally looked on as an exciting, romantic, and suspenseful show. But on top of that, it also happened to be incredibly funny. Each character had some kind of humourous quirk to their personality, and each got their chance to shine with either funny quotes or physical comedy.

However, not every character was equally as funny. Some of the pack were the more serious type, leading to other shining more in the comedy department. It is easy to rank the pack in of who is the funniest.

Jackson Whittemore

Jackson looking not amused in Teen Wolf

Jackson was an antagonist for most of his time in the series, and this led to him being incredibly rude to the main character Scott. Because of this, Jackson was arguably too unlikeable to be considered funny. He had his moments, such as when he was joking around with Danny, or when Lydia forced him to try and find The Notebook at the video store.

But ultimately, he was considered to be popular and cool at Beacon Hills High, so he wasn't able to be goofy or humorous in the way that other characters were. Plus, he spent a lot of time as the Kanima, which didn't give him any chance to crack jokes.

Allison Argent

Though Allison had some of the show's best outfits and was super tough in the fighting department, she wasn't always the funniest. Her humorous moments were usually adjacent to Scott and Stiles, such as when they go ice skating together, or when they discuss how werewolves can walk on their tiptoes. Often the joke was about how much Scott liked her and tried to impress her.

She was also often the straight man to Lydia's vapidness or quip-iness, meaning that she wasn't usually able to be the quirky character herself. She was generally much more of a likable character than she was straight-up comedic relief.

Derek Hale

Derek carries Stiles out of a building in a flashback in Teen Wolf

While Derek was the pack's designated buzzkill, being called a "Sour Wolf" on numerous occasions, the fact that he was so angsty all the time made him pretty funny. His seriousness was often the butt of the joke, as his constant lurking and deadpan expression made him almost a caricature.

This was especially true when he had scenes with Stiles, as the pair's contrasting energies led to many humorous situations, such as when they were trapped in a pool together, or when Derek had to carry Stiles after he got shot. Other times Derek was funny was when he would suddenly act out of character, such as when he flirted with a police officer to distract her.

Scott McCall

While Redditors can have unpopular opinions about Scott, no one can deny that he was often very funny. His constant need to do good could sometimes appear boring, but his arguing about ethics with other characters could often be quite funny because of how desperate Scott was to do the right thing.

Often his less-than-sharp wit led to him acting hilariously dumb as he struggled with his new powers and role in life. For example, his response to Jackson's interrogation about his newfound juice, which is  "My mom does all the grocery shopping," has gone down as one of the series' most iconic and funny moments.

Kira Yukimura

Kira laying on the floor and smiling in Teen Wolf

Kira didn't appear in the show until season 3B, but she was certainly able to make an impression. Her awkwardness around Scott was instantly endearing and hilarious. Kira also has many funny and memorable quotes, such as "I can set myself on fire and be noticed," which quickly clued the audience into what kind of person she was.

Her funniest moment is likely when she attempts to seduce Liam. The show often relied on its cast appearing sexy, which made Kira a hilarious outlier when she ends up falling down the stairs right in front of Liam and immediately tries to play it off by posing on the floor.

Mason Hewitt

Teen Wolf Mason Hewitt

Mason was the Stiles to Liam's Scott, so it was only natural that he would be very funny, and he was equally as smart and awkward. He was slightly less inclined to the supernatural world than Stiles was, but this often led to hilarious moments, such as when he and Lydia charge a berserker with baseball bats, and Mason screams hysterically the whole time.

Mason's tendency to be attracted to people that antagonized his best friend Liam also led to many laughs, as he would often ignore whatever Liam was saying, while dreamily looking at the guy he was supposed to hate.

Malia Tate

Stiles puts Malia in shackles in Teen Wolf.

Malia was very funny due to her previous life as a wild were-coyote. When she becomes human again, she must adapt to regular teen life, and she often struggles with this, to hilarious results. She lacks several social cues, which leads to her struggling at school, telling people that her favorite food is deer, and bringing her claws out at inappropriate times.

Her relationship with Stiles is also very funny, as initially, she tends to be quite possessive of him due to her animalistic tendencies. The scene where the Sherrif finds Stiles chaining her up is also a very funny out-of-context scene.

Liam Dunbar

Liam looking angry in Teen Wolf.

Liam is one of the best Teen Wolf characters according to Reddit, and this is due to how funny he can be. While initially, he seems antagonistic with his anger issues, even this is funny as he yells at Scott about being bitten after they'd just met. And eventually, he becomes a younger-brother type, trailing after Scott and Stiles as they get up to hilarious hijinks.

His interactions with Theo are also hilarious. When they meet, Liam immediately comments about how he just fell into a hole. Their later fake fight is also very comedic, as Theo yells at Liam, while the latter acts incredibly confused, before punching Theo in the face multiple times.

Lydia Martin

Lydia at the blacklight party in Teen Wolf

Lydia is very funny in two ways. At the beginning of the series, she acts as the stereotypically mean popular girl of Beacon Hills High. This leads to her acting in ridiculously power-hungry, borderline sociopathic ways, which the audience can't help but laugh at. Even Stiles points this out as he yells at her at the Winter Formal, which hilariously ends up somewhat winning her over.

When she develops as a character and realizes that she doesn't have to act in such a shallow way, she becomes funny in of her sharp wit. She often has a funny quip for every situation, and her sassy attitude always brings some fun to even the tensest situations.

Stiles Stilinski

There is generally little debate on how funny Stiles is. He was the show's first comedic relief character, and he gets even better as the show goes on. As he states to Scott in season 2, "Sarcasm is my only defense," and he proves this very true. Even when facing deadly monsters, Stiles never hesitates to crack a joke, which is his way of pretending that he isn't scared.

Aside from his sarcasm, Stiles is physically very funny, as he accentuates most of his lines with a hyperactive movement, and he hilariously draws attention any time that he is onscreen. When he started appearing in the show less in later seasons, the lack of his humor was felt.
