The Power Rangers have a crossover toy line coming out. The characters that belong to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were introduced to the world in 1984 by comic team, Peter Laird and Kevin Eastment. While it reached the top of its popularity during the late 1980s and early 1990s, the franchise continues to have international success across various mediums, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle films. Meanwhile, the Power Rangers franchise started with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in 1993. It has changed ownership since its inception, although the franchise has continued to prove itself to be rather successful.

A crossover comic between the two universes was released in December 2019, titled Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It was written by Ryan Parrott and drawn by Simone di Meo. The story is set in New York City, where the Power Rangers are betrayed by Tommy Oliver, also known as the Green Ranger. After discovering that he's working with Shredder and the Foot Clan, they must do what they can to save the world. However, they aren't alone, as they must set aside their differences with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in order to take down the villains.

Pointed out by Collider, this crossover is getting a hybrid collectible toy line by Hasbro. The Lightning Collection contains a Morphed Donatello and a Morphed Leonardo, which cannot be ordered separately. The order contains two figures, five accessories, and extra heads and hands. It was announced for pre-order for the price of $52.99 with a limit of two orders per customer. The current shipment date is April 1, 2022, although it has been noted that items may ship earlier or later depending on the logistics. See below for pictures of the Lightning Collection figures:

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been popular since its beginning. At the time of writing, the new collection of figures is already sold out. At the bottom of the pre-order page, it mentions for customers to keep an eye out for more collective figures in the Lightning Collection, each of which will be sold separately. So, if fans miss out on these, there will be other figures released at a later date. Given that this collection only includes Donatello and Leonardo, it's likely that there will be figures released for Michelangelo and Raphael.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Power Rangers are both massive franchises with very loyal followers. It's no surprise that this set sold out fairly quickly, although that doesn't mean that it will be impossible to find in the future. Those who are fans of Donatello and Leonardo, in particular, will especially be excited by these two entries into the Lightning Collection of figures. They include some interesting accessories and are complemented with their iconic colors. For those who are just holding out for Michelangelo and/or Raphael figures, it wouldn't be surprising to see those coming in the future. However, those fans will definitely want to regularly check the website for details before they sell out.
