Where To Watch Terrifier 3: Showtimes & Streaming Status

Another Terrifier movie is here to continue Art the Clown's story, and there are options for where to watch Terrifier 3 in theaters or on streaming.

Each of Terrifier 3’s major death scenes is notable, whether it is for its brevity, its dark humor, its shock factor, or its sheer nastiness. Throughout the movie, Art the Clown and his accomplice, Terrifier’s now-villainous original Final Girl Victoria, kill around 22 people. Some of these victims receive sudden deaths that are shocking precisely because they are so unexpected, while others receive drawn-out demises that would leave anyone begging for a quicker exit. All in all, Terrifier 3’s character deaths are some of the most violent, and understandably divisive, delights the horror genre has offered in 2024.

11 Corey And The Four Mall Victims

Terrifier 3’s Unfortunate Excited Child Opened A Bomb At The Mall

One of the big questions surrounding Terrifier 3 was whether Art the Clown would break a major taboo that the villain hasn’t revisited since 2013’s anthology horror movie All Hallow’s Eve. Although his appearances in Terrifier and Terrifier 2 made him a cult icon among horror viewers, Art the Clown didn’t kill any children in the first two Terrifier movies. That certainly changes in Terrifier 3, whose goofiest death scene sees Art pose as a mall Santa and hand a young boy a present that turns out to be a bomb, which promptly explodes and kills four other shoppers.

10 Eddie and Smokey

The Bartender Receives A Mercifully Sudden Death

Although Terrifier 3 killing off child characters is technically shocking, Corey’s death at the mall feels more like a tasteless comedy beat than a genuine scare. The moment is played for laughs, making it the sequel’s least brutal death. The second most merciful deaths in the movie are shared by the bartender Eddie and Clint Howard’s barfly Smokey, both of whom are shot in the head by Art and die instantly. While hardly fun, these deaths are comparatively fortunate as their quick demises guarantee that neither character endures a brutally slow, torturous death, unlike many less lucky victims.

9 Unnamed Exterminator

The Exterminator Suffered A Relatively Swift Death

One of Terrifier 3’s most painfully slow deaths is suffered by Dennis, the exterminator who has the bad luck of coming across Art in the attic of a seemingly abandoned house. In contrast, Dennis’s unnamed colleague gets off relatively lightly. Exploring the basement of the same building, the exterminator encounters Victoria’s lifeless body. Not realizing that he is dealing with a supernatural being, the exterminator reaches out to her, only to be felled with a slash from a shard of glass. A huge neck wound means the exterminator’s exit is swift, if hardly painless, as he bleeds out in seconds.

8 The Opening Scene’s Unnamed Father And Son

Terrifier 3’s Off-screen Deaths Are At Least Quick

Speaking of quick but painful deaths, it is important to tone that all the remaining deaths in Terrifier 3 are extremely violent. As such, time spent dying on-screen is really the only metric left to decide which characters suffered more than others. Thus, it is worth saying that Terrifier 3’s second and third deaths only take an instant compared to most of the movie’s kills. The unnamed son who is dismembered by Art off-screen never makes a sound, meaning he may have died sleeping. His father is less lucky, but still seems to die within a few seconds of his attack.

7 The Opening Scene’s Unnamed Mother

Art’s Opening Scene Victim Loses An Arm (And Her Life)

While her husband and son succumbed to their wounds without even getting out of bed, the mother in Terrifier 3’s opening scene wasn’t so fortunate. Terrifier 3’s first drawn-out death comes courtesy of this unfortunate mother, who is repeatedly stabbed by Art before he cuts off her arm and finally splits her head in two with an ax. With a long chase sequence following her through the house, various brutal blows before the killing stroke, and an utterly unnecessary arm amputation, this kill caused some more sensitive viewers to walk out of Terrifier 3’s opening scene.

6 Charles Johnson

Santa’s Death Owes Its Inspiration to Jason Voorhees

The audience who left after the unnamed mother’s pre-title card death were right to evacuate early, as Terrifier 3 only gets nastier from that moment on. Although Eddie and Smokey are blessed with pretty quick deaths after Art messes with them at a quiet bar, the mall Santa that provides Art with his suit and beard suffers a far worse fate. Tied to a chair, the mall Santa pleads for his life and tells Art his real name. Art takes inspiration from Jason X’s Jason Voorhees as he pitilessly doses Santa in liquid nitrogen before smashing his still-living body to pieces.

5 Burke The Hospital Orderly

Art and Victoria’s First Victim Loses His Face To Them

Chris Jericho appears in Terrifier 3 as Burke, a hulking orderly working at the psychiatric institution where Victoria is a patient. Burke’s fate is particularly nasty as he is the first character to be brutalized by both Art and Victoria. As Victoria tears off chunks of the orderly’s face, Art the Clown’s headless body scalps him. Burke’s eventual death is left off-screen, but the parts that viewers are privy to are more than enough for it to merit inclusion as one of Terrifier 3’s nastiest kills. Once reunited, Art’s head and body get up to some even more contemptible antics.

4 Mia

Art The Clown’s Psycho Homage Is Notably Nasty

While Terrifier 3’s reviews have been positive, this shouldn’t come as too big a surprise to viewers who have been paying attention to the franchise. Despite their shortcomings, the Terrifier movies betray a real love for the horror genre on the part of their creator, director Damian Leone. This shines through in Terrifier 3’s Psycho homage, which sees Art attack and murder a canoodling couple as they shower. Terrifier 3’s shower scene is a lot worse than Hitchcock’s famous sequence, with Art using his chainsaw to dismember the still-living couple as they try to escape.

Mia, a true-crime enthusiast who earlier confessed her obsession with Art the Clown, has her arms and hips cut clean off with the villain’s chainsaw as she stands in shock. Art then crouches down to stare into her dazed eyes as she dies, ironically echoing a comment she made earlier about wanting to look in the face of the Miles County killer. Art adds insult to injury by adding a pair of novelty glasses to this victim’s corpse and cutting her cheek open with the chainsaw too, but it is the initial slicing and dicing that makes the scene shocking.

3 Jess

Sienna’s Aunt Is Tortured By Rats (And Art and Victoria)

Jess is arguably the most sympathetic new character in Terrifier 3, which makes her brutal fate all the more nasty. Sienna’s sweet aunt reminisces with her about her late mother and defends her niece when Sienna is accused of lying about Art’s return. However, Jess also makes the literally fatal mistake of slipping Sienna a sleeping aid while Jess’s husband goes to pick up Sienna’s little brother Jonathan. As a result, Sienna is fast asleep when Victoria and Art break into the house, take Jess’s daughter Gabbie hostage and kill both her husband and Jonathan off-screen.

Jess's gruesome ordeal is Terrifier 3’s lengthiest scene of torture and rivals Terrifier 2’s infamous bedroom scene in of its intensity.

Jonathan’s death might have been the movie’s nastiest if it weren’t confined to the viewer’s imagination, as Victoria reveals he was eaten alive by rats. However, Jess ensures that the audience gets a good idea of what this looks like when Art crams a plastic tube into her mouth and feeds rats into it with a blowtorch. Jess's gruesome ordeal is Terrifier 3’s lengthiest scene of torture and rivals ’s infamous bedroom scene in of its intensity. Ironically, it’s not what kills Jess, as she has her throat slit only moments after the rat torture ends.

2 Dennis

The Luckless Exterminator Is Brutally Scalped Via Boxcutter

It would take a lot to outdo Jess’s vile fate, but one of Terrifier 3’s first kills is arguably its most detailed and nastiest death. Dennis the exterminator finds Art in the attic of an abandoned home and, before he can comprehend what’s happening, what looks like a clown statue has come to life and tossed him across the room. Impaled through the hand with a nail, Dennis is pinned to the floor as Art eats his fingers and takes a boxcutter to his scalp. As if this weren’t enough, Art then peels his head wholesale as the still-conscious Dennis screams.
