Terrifier 3's glass shard scene, featuring the character Vicky.
Vicky was the original protagonist from the first movie, barely surviving Art the Clown's attack, before ing the cast of Terrifier 2 and 3 as a villain, due to the interference of the Little Pale Girl. In Terrifier 3, Vicky is at her most evil, committing the same heinous acts alongside Art, and is responsible for one of the most horrifying moments in the film, where Vicky watches as Art kills someone, and proceeds to masturbate using a shard of glass. It's a horrific scene, one that Vicky's actor, Samantha Scaffidi, recently had a few surprising comments about.
There Was A "Will Be Done Tastefully" Note In The Terrifier 3 Script For Vicky's Glass Scene
The Terrifier Franchise Isn't Exactly Known For How Tasteful It Is
In November 2024, there was a Terrifier 3 at Monster-Mania Con, featuring Scaffidi, which Screen Rant was able to attend. At the , Scaffidi revealed that in the Terrifier 3 script, next to the glass shard scene, the director, Damien Leone, wrote "Will be done tastefully." Considering what the scene is, "tasteful" doesn't seem like the most appropriate adjective, although a case could certainly be made that the scene could've gone farther when it came to the gross-out factor.
She sort of disassociates while she is going over the scenes, distancing herself as a person from the horrific things that are happening in the film.
Scaffidi also talked about her own feelings when it comes to that moment and the franchise as a whole, saying that the glass shard scene is one of her favorites in the series so far, noting that she's "always down" for whatever Leone comes up with. She mentioned that the Terrifier series' intense blood and gore doesn't affect her too much, as she sort of disassociates while she is going over the scenes, distancing herself as a person from the horrific things that are happening in the film.

She Became One Of The Franchise's Biggest Assets
Vicky started off as the main character in the first Terrifier film, eventually embodying the classic horror trope of the final girl, the last survivor at the end of the film. However, by the time of Terrifier 3, Vicky has evolved into something else entirely, becoming a full antagonist alongside Art the Clown. It would seem that her popularity, combined with the depth and intricacies of the character, led to the franchise letting Vicky adopt a more complex role.
Horror sequels tend to bank on bringing back their final girls to act as ing characters or reprising their role as the protagonist, but by subverting expectations in this way, Terrifier 3 was able to turn Vicky into a completely unique character. It was an unorthodox move to be sure, but that notion alone makes it a fitting decision, considering how the franchise itself has always been willing to break norms.
