Spoilers for A.X.E.: Starfox #1 by Marvel Comics

Starfox and his brother Thanos are cosmic opposites in the Marvel Universe, as their biggest difference defines them in the Marvel Universe. In A.X.E.: Starfox #1 by Marvel Comics, as Starfox tries to save Earth from its Celestial judgment, he its that while he wins battles with his power of love, Thanos wins wars. The line shows how different the brothers are when it comes to accomplishing their ultimate missions.

Starfox and Thanos are both products of Mentor trying (and failing) to prove that the Eternals should create life and connect it to the Great Machine. While Starfox - whose birthname is Eros - turned out to be an adventurer and briefly, an Avenger, Thanos ended up proving the experiment a failure, as his existence and deadly actions against the Eternals and the Marvel Universe remain one of the ancient race's greatest mistakes. However, Starfox just pointed out one of the biggest differences between him and his brother, as he tries to save Earth himself and prove he's Thanos' true opposite.

While Starfox is destined to beat Thanos one day as his true cosmic opposite, he reveals that "Eros wins battles" while "Thanos wins wars." In the issue, Starfox realizes that to win the current battle as a hero, he must use the powers of love and embrace what makes him different from his brother.

Starfox Is Embracing His Heritage To Stop Judgment Day

Starfox Marvel Comics Thanos Wins Wars

With Starfox currently serving as the Prime Eternal and the only Eternal connected to the Machine, he thinks of alternate solutions to win the battle and save humanity. Instead of leading, Starfox wants to use his powers to inspire, leading him to strike a deal with Zuras to help him for giving up his Prime Eternal role once the Celestial's judgment is over. Starfox ends up opening the Eternals' home to humans as he teleports them to his home, as he greets them by saying, "love will save us all."

Starfox has become Thanos' true opposite, as opening up the Eternals' home to humans and promising to protect them is the opposite of what the Mad Titan would do in a similar situation. Instead, he would welcome humanity's demise while unleashing his deadly powers. Ultimately, the biggest difference between Eros and his brother is how they approach love, death, and war, making Starfox the true opposite of Thanos in the Marvel Universe.
