Spoilers for A.X.E.: Starfox #1 by Marvel Comics

The Marvel Universe has confirmed that Thanos' entire creation was a failure on a grand scale by the Eternals. In A.X.E.: Avengers #1 by Marvel Comics, Thanos and his brother Starfox's creation and origin are revisited. However, with Thanos becoming a mass murderer on a universal scale, the experiment to determine whether Eternals could create life was deemed a failure and "not worth the risk."

Thanos' creation and origin in the Marvel Universe were born from literal conflict, as a Civil War between the Eternals over whether they should create life to be added to their Great Machine resulted in his birth. A'Lars and the Titan Sui-San attempted to prove that they could make life, which resulted in two children: Thanos and Eros. While Thanos' brother Eros became a cosmic adventurer currently trying to save the Marvel Universe, Thanos became one of the biggest villains in the Marvel Universe, who made it his purpose to get revenge on the Eternals who excluded him. Now, Marvel is confirming Thanos' creation was a colossal failure.

In A.X.E.: Starfox #1 by Kieron Gillen, Daniele Di Nicuolo, Frank William, and Joe Sabino from Marvel Comics, the comic follows Starfox trying to save the Marvel Universe with love, as he states that Thanos is "just death." The comic reminds readers about the Mad Titan's origin showing his mother Sui-San helped his brother Eros connect to the Machine to be the ultimate counter to Thanos. The issue recounts the "Titan Accord Experiments," showing how Thanos and Eros were created, indicating that they were a product of a failed experiment to prove Eternals could create life and add them to the Machine. Thanos' creation is officially labeled as "not worth the risk."

Thanos Is The Eternals' Greatest Failure, But That Doesn't Define Him

Thanos Eternal Creation Failure The Machine

Even with Thanos' creation officially confirmed as one of the biggest failures among the Eternals, it doesn't define the Mad Titan. He has always fought against his kind and only ed the ancient heroes in his attempts to destroy the Earth. Thanos' origin might have been born from war, but regardless of how the Eternals view him, he has separated himself from them and become his own agent of death and chaos. He was rejected and outcast and hasn't forgotten about that.

The experiment creating Thanos is confirmed as his parent's failure, which led to them being excluded by the Eternals. However, even with the official confirmation, it won't impact Thanos as he continues his efforts to conquer the Marvel Universe now that he's separated from the Eternals. A.XE.: Starfox #1 by Marvel Comics is in comic book stores now.
