Summary
- Betsy Kelso returns in That '90s Show after 19 years, causing drama and conflict with Nate and Jay.
- Season 2, part 3 of That '90s Show drops on August 22, 2024, two months earlier than expected.
- The spinoff series focuses on new teen characters like Leia Forman and introduces Betsy Kelso's storyline for part 3.
That '90s Show is finally bringing back a That '70s Show character last seen in the series 19 years ago. The Netflix spinoff series has slowed down with its cameos, instead focusing on the new teens of the titular decade. However, the teaser trailer for That '90s Show season 2, part 2 (also called part 3), mentioned another familiar name from the original series. This makes perfect sense since this person is technically a part of Point Place's next generation.
The first part of That '90s Show season 2 (dubbed part 2) was released in June 2024, and the next part was supposed to begin streaming on October 24, 2024. However, Netflix surprised everyone with the announcement that this next batch of episodes would be released two months early. Starting August 22, 2024, audiences can finally see how Red and Kitty will handle the car in their kitchen, whether Leia and Jay will take their relationship to the next level, and, in a surprising twist, how Betsy Kelso will fit into all this.

That '90s Show Cast, Character & Cameo Guide
Here's a breakdown of the cast, characters, and cameos of That '90s Show parts 1 - 3, including the returns of That '70s Show's many cameos.
Betsy Kelso Is Coming To That '90s Show After Not Being Seen Since That '70s Show Season 7
Betsy Kelso Has Finally Made A Return
Betsy Kelso is Michael Kelso's daughter, whom he had with concert hook-up Brooke Rockwell. She was born during the events of That '70s Show season 7 and was mentioned a few times in season 8. However, since her mom (and later her dad) moved to Chicago, Betsy hasn't been seen on screen since That '70s Show season 7, episode 18, "Oh, Baby (We Got a Good Thing Goin')," aired in 2005. Now, after 19 years, little Betsy is finally making her big return.
In the trailer for That '90s Show part 3, Nate is seen talking to a girl at the bar to distract himself from Nikki (whom he regrets breaking up with). This girl is quickly revealed to be Betsy, played by Kira Kosarin. It's an exciting moment because fans of That '70s Show have been questioning what happened to Betsy ever since Jay, her brother, was introduced in That '90s Show season 1. It seems that she moved back to Point Place at some point, and her presence in these coming episodes will surely cause a great deal of drama.
It's implied that Jay is Michael's son with Jackie, which would make him Betsy's half-brother.
What Betsy Kelso's Role In That '90s Show Means For Part 3
Betsy Has Brought Some Fresh Conflict
Nate flirting with Betsy in That '90s Show part 3 appears to cause a significant rift in his relationship with Jay. Nate already almost kissed Leia in season 1, so hooking up with Jay's sister might just be the last straw. During further moments in the part 3 trailer, Leia states that Jay was beginning to treat her like his "bro" since he no longer had his guy best friend. This indicates that the situation with Betsy leads Nate and Jay to stop talking to one another for a while. Of course, this is just classic That '70s Show-style conflict and these pals are guaranteed to resolve their differences before too long.
