The Bear seasons 3 and 4 reportedly filming back-to-back has sparked speculation that season 4 will be the final chapter of the show. The situation is reminiscent of another acclaimed FX comedy series, Atlanta, which ended after shooting its third and fourth seasons back-to-back. Filming concluding chapters consecutively is something film franchises like Harry Potter and The Hunger Games have also done.

However, a decision reportedly hasn't been made yet, and season 5 remains a distinct possibility. The Bear seasons 3 and 4 could be filming back-to-back to accommodate the cast's increasingly busy schedules. MCU's Fantastic Four as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

The Bear creator Christopher Storer is also receiving other opportunities, as he is writing and directing a film adaptation of The Lincoln Highway, based on the novel by Amor Towles. Considering how successful The Bear has been, Storer is likely free to continue or end the show as he sees fit. Ending after four seasons could be the sweet spot for The Bear, similar to HBO's Succession.

Similar to the first two seasons, The Bear season 3's episodes will be released all at once. Seasons 1-2 are streaming on Hulu.
