Given how terrible the Supes are in The Boys, and how low The Boys vigilante group has stooped in order to achieve their goal of taking them down (including Billy Butcher’s gruesome kill of Gunpowder), it’s difficult to pinpoint the worst thing each character has done.

No matter how good or bad each is, they have all done some pretty terrible things. Some live with the guilt and regret while others forge ahead, feeling no remorse for their actions. In many cases, the horrifying things involve killing or maiming someone, but sometimes, the worst thing they have done doesn’t involve physical harm at all.

Billy Butcher: Said Something Hurtful To Ryan

Cameron Crovetti as Ryan in The Boys

Given that Billy Butcher has murdered, maimed, and even lasered people when he had temporary Supe power, it would stand to reason that one of the worst things he has done has been harming someone physically. But it's actually an emotional incident that ranks as his worst.

After discovering that there is supposedly a weapon that can take out Homelander and Grace kept that information from Billy, he left her home in a huff. In his angered state, he said some terrible words to Ryan, one of many characters in The Boys who isn't in the comics. He blamed the young boy for his mother's death saying he wouldn't want to see him and have that reminder of her. It was an awful thing to say to a child, and Billy recognized that shortly after, but it was too late.

Homelander: Abandoned A Plane Full Of People

Homelander smiling in The Boys Season 3

Choosing the worst thing Homelander has done is a difficult task. He lives his life to do awful things under the radar while portraying a squeaky-clean image of a hero to the public. His murders of Madelyne and Supersonic, rape of Becca, and utter disrespect for other of The Seven rank among his most deplorable acts.

But arguably no act was as awful as his decision to leave a plane full of terrified people to crash land, killing them all, when he had the opportunity to save many, all in the name of politics. The act was so horrifyingly bad that Maeve used a secret recording of it as leverage against Homelander. While he might be able to come out of being in a relationship with a Nazi, letting a plane full of people die and blatantly threatening to kill them if they didn't pipe down all for the purposes of making a point tops even that.

Starlight: Steals Compound V

There's little that fans can pick apart about Starlight. She is a genuinely nice person who naively ed The Seven thinking that they were actually interested in saving the world. Indeed, this is exactly what she wants to do, and she shows this again and again. With that said, she isn't completely innocent.

While fans were completely on Starlight's side, it was wrong of her to steal samples of Compound V in an effort to prove that Supes are actually made in a lab, not born that way. She was caught and sent to prison in Vought but eventually got out to continue her mission to take down the corporation.

A-Train: Betrayed Starlight

A-Train has done pretty bad things, including his first act, which was to run right through Hughie's girlfriend while high on Compound V, and fail to take ability for his actions.

But even worse than that is when Supersonic confided in A-Train, believing that he would finally be willing to betray Homelander and a resistance. Instead, A-Train went straight to Homelander to tell him what was going on, hoping this would curry him some favor with The Seven's co-captain. Supersonic ended up dead because of it, with Starlight's plan also ruined. What’s more, A-Train can out no further ahead.

The Deep: Sexually Abused Women

The Deep is more comical than he is threatening, clearly only a member of The Seven because he can accomplish feats underwater that no one else can. The Boys, though sadly, many have met their ends at his hand, including the octopus friend he was forced to consume. But his worst act is one he reportedly repeated: sexually assaulting women who ed The Seven, and potentially others as well.

His actions all came to a head when he assaulted Starlight and she came forward with her allegations, which eventually led to him being forced to leave The Seven. While he seemingly atoned for his sins and has emerged a better man, the truth remains to be seen, and the acts, while forgiven, are never forgotten.

Stan Edgar: Used Victoria For His Benefit

Stan looks stern on The Boys

Stan Edgar has lived much, if not all, of his adult life serving Vought. Everything he does is in the best interests of the company and its ultimate goal. While he comes across as thoughtful and accommodating, however, every move he makes it calculated. This is what makes him one of the low-key villains on The Boys.

This is exactly with Victoria figured out when she finally turned on him. A Supe who killed her parents when she was a teenager, Stan took Victoria in, pretending to be protecting her. But only as an adult did she realize that it was she protecting him the whole time and he was simply using her as a shield.

Mother's Milk: Lashed Out At His Daughter

Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk in The Boys

While Mother's Milk, affectionately called MM by his close friends, initially had a marriage and family life that others wished they could have, things quickly turned sour as a result of his involvement with The Boys.

MM was far too obsessed with avenging the death of his father, which he blamed on Vought and the stress the company's corruption brought upon him. It came to an explosive point when he lost his temper around his daughter once, then abandoned taking her to the Science Center when he heard of Soldier Boy’s arrival in town. While MM is driven by a deep need to avenge the death of his family, as he once itted to Butcher, he also missed the action. Getting so involved, however, at the expense of his family and, most importantly, his daughter, meant he lost sight of what was truly important.

Hughie: Killed Translucent

Translucent from The Boys without a shirt on, putting his hand on Hughie's shoulder.

Hughie was filled with rage when his girlfriend was killed by A-Train. When he met Billy Butcher, the hatred was fueled even more, making Hughie into a very different type of person than who he was prior.

It was at one of his lowest points that he made the decision to detonate the "ass bomb" that killed Translucent. Hughie did this even after Translucent pleading with him to spare his life. It became the first of many unspeakable things Hughie would do, including turning his back on Starlight believing that it was something he needed to do to help her. But the murder of Translucent still remains his worst as he showed little mercy.

Kimiko: Killed A Lot Of People

Kimiko at a protest in The Boys

When Kimiko was on the hunt for her brother, she did some terrible things. While she always hated her powers, she used them to her advantage when anyone got in her way. In some cases, this involved innocent people who didn't deserve to be harmed.

For example, she brutally tore Mamasan Matron to pieces in her nail salon. As an assassin, she kills when she is told to kill and who she is told to kill. While she clearly feels guilt and hatred for what she does, she still does it. She almost even killed Frenchie before she got to know him, and they have created one of the best friendships on The Boys.

Frenchie: Abandoned His Friend In Need

Frenchie looking worried in The Boys

Frenchie lived with the guilt of one particular incident, which is why he had such a tumultuous relationship with Grace and the Supes. Frenchie would have gone to prison but he was given the opportunity to work with Grace on developing weapons and tactics to fend off Supes.

One fateful night, he was called away from his friends to follow Lamplighter, who was supposed to be working as an informant. That very night, he received a call from his friend Cherie telling him that their friend Jay had overdosed. Jay survived but blamed Frenchie for not being there for him and never spoke to him again. He died a few months later from another overdose and Frenchie never forgave himself for choosing Grace and her mission over his friends.
