Competing on The Challenge is extremely demanding, but though these cast felt the need to take a break from the show, now is the perfect time for them to return. There have been many fan favorites over the years, and these are the competitors who have made such a splash and impressed viewers so much, that there are many who hope to see them on the show again soon.
One of the best things about The Challenge is that many cast return season after season. Viewers get to really know the competitors and their strengths and weaknesses—not to mention their alliances and rivals. The cast can make or break a season, and there are several competitors who fans would love to see return to the show.
Some of these Challenge stars have a long history in the competition, while others have appeared on relatively few seasons. However, all of them possess certain skills, charisma, and potential that make them an excellent addition to any season they’re on. These are the cast who should compete on the next season.
Johnny Bananas
Bananas is the most decorated champ in Challenge history with an impressive seven wins under his belt. He went out with a bang on Total Madness and intended that to be his retirement. However, with CT Tamburello’s recent success, it’s proof that the OG champs’ best days aren’t necessarily behind them. Johnny is a shrewd player whose success is due to equal parts hard work and luck. Johnny is a great addition to the show and he’s been hinting he might make a return to the competition.
Jordan Wiseley
Jordan has secured three wins and many see him as one of the best competitors to grace the show. He’s pulled out incredible wins in daily and elimination challenges and though he certainly has a cocky attitude, Jordan has the skills to back it up. The last season he appeared on was Total Madness and now would be a great time for him to compete again. Jordan may be hesitant to return because his ex-fiancée Tori Deal is still very active in the game. However, if there was another Battle of the Exes season, he and Tori would absolutely dominate.
Gábor "Gabo" Szabó
Gabo became a fan favorite on Spies, Lies & Allies for his positive attitude and hilarious moments. He reportedly didn’t prepare for the season because he thought The Challenge was a Jersey Shore-style party show. So imagine how well he could do if he actually trained for the competition. Gabo also made a lot of friends with both rookies and vets which could help him go far. He’s overall very entertaining on the show and would be a great addition to next season’s cast.
Theo Campbell
Though he’s only competed in two seasons, War of the Worlds 1 and 2, Theo made a major splash on both. He developed a reputation as a strong competitor, but that often put a target on his back. On WOTW, rookies dominated the final and Theo managed to come in second. There may be some bad blood between him and the show, but Theo was one of the most promising rookies The Challenge has seen in years. If he were to return, Theo has the potential to become a legend.
Ashley Cain
Ashley appeared on WOTW and showed a lot of promise, but after that season he’s had some hard years. His daughter ed away from leukemia at just 8 months old, and Ashley’s heart and spirit were understandably shattered. But he’s worked hard to pick himself back up and is ionate about doing something meaningful with his life to honor his daughter’s memory. Ashley showed a lot of promise during WOTW in of strength and endurance, and he would have a great shot at making serious cash by winning finals in another season.
Turabi 'Turbo' Çamkiran
Viewers were blown away by Turbo’s performance in WOTW. Many rookies that season outperformed the vets, but no one wowed their competitors and fans the way Turbo did. He seemed to have endless stamina and won his very first season. But his time on The Challenge was not long, and he was kicked off the show on WOTW2 for his aggression towards his castmate Jordan. However, if Turbo has calmed down during his years away from The Challenge (doubtful), he could really rack up some wins if he were to return.
Landon Lueck
There are many Challenge fans who would argue that Landon is one of the best players to ever compete on the show. He hasn’t appeared in nearly as many seasons as some other Challenge champs, but his performance in the few seasons he was in was incredibly impressive. Landon won three of the four seasons he was on and in addition to winning the finals, he also destroyed the competition in daily challenges and eliminations. A lot of fans had hoped that Landon would be enticed to the recent All Stars seasons, but so far he’s shown no signs of wanting to return.
Frank Sweeney
Frank is a bona fide Challenge champion after his team won Battle of the Seasons. Though he’s not the most well-liked cast member, by his castmates or by viewers, his last appearance on the show was anticlimactic, and Frank deserves another shot. There were high hopes for Frank on Free Agents, but he was disqualified a few weeks into the competition after being deemed medically unfit to continue. It was an unsatisfying end to a promising career on The Challenge, so it would be interesting to see him return to the show and see how far he could get against some of the current top competitors.
Though some of these cast haven’t competed on The Challenge for many seasons, there are a lot of reasons why each of them should consider getting back into the game. Some of them may be a little rusty, but they could still kill the competition if they were to return.
