Summary

  • Pedro Jimeno's portrayed as a villain in The Family Chantel season 5. Is he enjoying Chantel's pain and seeking revenge?
  • Pedro's focus on money is evident as he criticizes Chantel for not letting him sell their home and get a commission.
  • Pedro's behavior post-divorce, including insulting Chantel and flaunting his real estate career, showcases his callousness and vaulting ambition.

Pedro's checked out emotionally. It's hard for Chantel to make him feel anything (good or bad), no matter what she says or how loudly she yells. Pedro's just over it - in fact, he may be ready for some payback. Under her anger, Chantel's vulnerable. Pedro must realize that he's twisting the knife when he says and does certain things.

It has to be said that Chantel's not perfect. Pedro does seem like a cheater and Green Card hunter, but she may be difficult sometimes, just like her combative mom, Karen Everett. Nonetheless, it appears obvious that The Family Chantel season 5 star Pedro had an agenda before and during his marriage. The fact that he ended things after he was eligible for permanent residency in the USA was quite a red flag. Nonetheless, in almost every relationship, there are two sides, and both people have faults. Usually, one person isn't a devil while the other is an angel. That doesn't mean that Pedro's a nice guy.

Pedro's Worried About Money (Not Chantel's Feelings)

Pedro must know that Chantel's hurting, but that doesn't stop him from slagging her off while the cameras roll, as seen in the clip above, via TLC at YouTube. Sure, she's dishing it out too, but Pedro's the one who left. The person who chose to leave should probably be the most gracious. Pedro's going low, and actually seems to like putting down Chantel in front of everyone. In the ongoing season, he criticized her for refusing to allow him to sell their home.

As per the high-drama clip above, Pedro wanted to sell their home. If he did, he could earn a commission of roughly 25K, and he'd probably have to split that money with her. Chantel stopped him from doing that. Maybe she thought he'd rip her off somehow. Pedro, who's focused on finances to a degree that's off-putting, wasn't happy about that.

While they could earn more overall if he sold the house, this isn't just about money. Instead of acting like a human cash , Pedro should realize how sensitive his ex is. Unfortunately, his mercenary ways have been ed down. His mother Lydia Morel and sister Nicole Jimeno are greedy people.

The comments on the YouTube video shown above are brutal, and almost everyone's on Chantel's side. One person called Pedro "vile," while another was more lighthearted, calling out Pedro, who was wearing eyeglasses. They said, "Pedro is trying to look so intelligent lol." Another made a wisecrack that shaded Pedro, and also poked fun at Chantel's naïveté about Pedro:

"The moment she realised she was always just a 'Green Card."

Pedro Jimeno's Decision To Date Chantel's "Twin" Was Shady

Pedro Even Said That Chantel's "Twin" Was Thinner & Taller

Pedro made a big show of being surprised when his date turned out to be a Chantel doppelgänger, but some part of him went to the dark side. He decided to take a jab by letting the world know, onscreen, that his new flame was, "thinner" and, "taller." Of course, this was so unnecessary, but during a divorce, people tend to lash out. They will try to hurt their exes.

Maybe he's playing it cool as a defense mechanism. Possibly, he's been hurt by Chantel and wants revenge. Another scenario is that, since he knows he's going to be cast as the villain, he's trying to make it seem like post-divorce life is the best thing he's ever experienced.

Pedro has options. He doesn't have to be alone, but he also doesn't have to rub his dating life in his ex's face while she's still so heartbroken. One look at Chantel's face is all that's needed to get the lay of the land. She's in emotional turmoil while Pedro, who used to call Chantel "pinky winky" and compare her curves to the shape of a guitar, is pretending to be at peace.

It's possible that he really is at peace, and that may be what's really driving all the hate that comes his way. He gets shade from Chantel, her family, and The Family Chantel viewers. Everyone is dissing Pedro, and his coldness in the face of reality TV show star Chantel's pain isn't helping him to revamp his image.

Chantel seems to be shocked by her ex and how he's changed. She spent years by this man's side. Chantel put up with so much, including in-laws who were, collectively, the ultimate nightmare. Her mother-in-law is like the "baddie" in a horror movie, and her sister-in-law tried to wreck her relationship more than once. Perhaps Nicole did enough damage to really end it. The in-law equivalent of a wicked stepsister worked her black magic by making it seem like Pedro was cheating with her best friend, The Family Chantel's Coraima Morla. That really inflamed an already suspicious Chantel.

What's notable is the fact that Pedro's acting a lot like Nicole now. Is he showing his true colors? Accused of being a Green Card hunter and gold digger by Chantel's mom, Pedro was adamant that he really loved Chantel. However, he might have been lying. It's possible that he was just like Nicole all along, playing Chantel like a fiddle until the pivotal moment when he would leave her high and dry. Nicole liked to provoke her sister-in-law and Pedro's following in his sister's footsteps. It's not classy, but it is what it is. Chantel's better off without him.

Is Pedro Jimeno Really This Coldblooded, Or Is It An Act?

Pedro's So Cruel To His Ex Chantel

When he isn't insulting Chantel because of the choices she's made during their very messy divorce, or implying that his date is better looking than his glamorous ex, Pedro's sending a message of success online. He's glossing over his turbulent history with Chantel by focusing on his real estate career. No, he didn't get the chance to sell their marital home, but he's working for a real estate agency in Georgia, where travel nurse Chantel also lives.

In the past, Pedro had to turn off comments on his Instagram posts - the hate was just so extreme. Now, he still gets criticism, but also has the type of adoring fans who clearly love a bad boy. Yes, there are women who gravitate towards the type of men who womanize, think highly of themselves, and generally wreak havoc.

The problem may be the fact that this type of blatantly disgusting conduct seems like self-confidence. The worse a man acts, the more like an "alpha male" he appears to be. This outmoded thinking puts women behind the eight-ball. A good man who's quietly confident is not going to do this much damage to a woman's heart, soul and life. A great man would be much gentler with the woman whose heart he broke.

Does Chantel need to change her type? Oh yes she does! However, it's truly not that simple. Attraction is mysterious and people can't always control their reactions to other people. They like who they like. Nonetheless, Chantel might really benefit from at least trying to date against her type. Avoiding the smooth operators of the world, like Pedro, who has women swooning over him online (if they're not calling him a Green Card Hunter) would be so wise. It could change everything for Chantel, who's also gone to the dark side since they split up.

Dating Drake isn't going to help. That's going from the frying pan into the fire. A big-time star like Drake has endless options, more money than Pedro, and significant power. He's not going to be the devoted partner she needs. Perhaps dating outside the celebrity world is the answer. Avoiding famous singers, NBA players, male models, and well-known pretty boy actors will work wonders. Dating someone who's not stunningly handsome could be a real power move. Of course, men who are commonly regarded as sexy have their pluses, but in the end, if she thinks someone's hot, a lot of other people do too. This is a recipe for disaster.

Since people get locked into their types, what will happen next is sadly simple to predict. Chantel will date another man who's a lot like Pedro, just like Pedro dated a woman who looked very much like Chantel. The next man Chantel gets involved with will also be smoothly handsome, charming (at least, on the surface) and confident. He will also have a wandering eye or worse. It's only when Chantel gets burned enough to date against her type that genuine, long-lasting happiness will be possible.

Chantel has learned some powerful lessons about love and life. What has Pedro learned? He's achieved what seemed to be his end game i.e. permanent residency. He can roam Georgia and beyond without a band of gold on that finger. However, he is tainted by experience. Now known as a callous and mercenary man, his good guy image is nothing but dust in the wind. He may not mind, but Pedro probably has moments when he wishes he wasn't public enemy number one. The Family Chantel season 5 star needs a redemption arc onscreen, but he's definitely getting the villain edit right now. Perhaps it's richly deserved.
