Gerry and Theresa got engaged at the end of The Golden Bachelor season 1, and they wasted no time planning their dream wedding. The Golden Bachelor wedding took place just a few weeks after Gerry and Theresa went public with their relationship, and the star-studded event aired on national television. Though hopes were high for the septuagenarian love story, Gerry and Theresa announced their divorce just three short months later. Though it wasn't fair, Gerry's reputation took a big hit, and I don't know if he'll ever be able to recover his once good name.

In my opinion, this wasn't fair, as the divorce wasn't all Gerry's fault. As the old saying goes, it takes two to tango, and Gerry and Theresa's divorce was no exception. The couple split because Gerry lives in Indiana, while Theresa lives in New Jersey, and neither of them wanted to move.

I strongly believe that it's entirely unfair to blame Gerry for the breakup when Theresa was just as responsible.

To me, this feels like The Golden Bachelor star is desperately trying to recreate the image of himself as a desirable single man with plenty of romantic prospects.

The harder Gerry tries to make people fall back in love with him, the worse it'll get. I would advise The Golden Bachelor to just be himself, and not worry about what people think of him.
