The Incredibles franchise is one of Pixar's strongest of all time with two absolutely brilliant superhero movies that are more than capable of giving the MCU a run for their money. The films have a brilliant blend of family dynamics and superhero action, making them funny, emotional and full of energy.
While the characters all have a real range of powers and abilities, they also have a wide range in of their intelligence. This often impacts on the decisions that they make within the films, with some characters rushing to things and others being smarter about it and taking more time. Within this list, we will take a look at the main characters of the two films and rank them all, purely based on their intelligence.
Jack-Jack
Considering that Jack-Jack is just a baby, it makes sense that he is the least intelligent character from The Incredibles franchise. He can't talk or showcase what sort of intelligence he has, but he does know when to pull out certain powers at the right time, which shows he is going to grow up to be clever.
Jack-Jack is a very powerful character, being able to do tons of different cool powers which really gets shown in the sequel. However, he doesn't have control over any of them yet, so he is also quite a wildcard at times as well, causing plenty of headaches for the family.
Dash
Much like his younger brother, Dash Parr is only a young character and because of that he often showcases that he hasn't fully developed his intelligence. He is a young boy who has just gained superspeed, therefore he is quick to rush out and do as much as possible.
However, his lack of intelligence does show throughout the movies as he rushes into things and often makes quick judgement calls rather than thinking things through. However, because he is only young, that is likely something he will grow out of.
Mr. Incredible
Sure, he is an incredibly strong and powerful character in of muscles as that is his superpower, but in of his intelligence, he ranks low. Mr. Incredible seems to think he can just smash his way through life, and while it works for some situations, when he comes up against someone with greater intelligence he begins to struggle.
His poor judgement and rash decision making often leads to his downfall and leads to him being caught out. He only really shows brilliant intelligence when he is fighting alongside his family, which is often because others are helping him out.
Violet
Violet very much takes after her mother when it comes to the intelligence department, whereas Dash seems to follow in his father's footsteps. Violet is a thinker and someone who takes her time to really work things out before rushing into the action, and that really allows her to work out a plan.
However, Violet is also only young and that has to be taken int consideration here. She often lets her emotions take control of her as she is still developing that side of herself, and that's why she doesn't rank any higher.
Frozone
Frozone is one of the best characters in this franchise and he is certainly one of the most popular. His appearance is easily the best amongst the franchise and he comes out with some amazing one-liners, showing his charismatic personality.
But Frozone is also a smart character as well. While he only pops up in brief moments as a ing role, he always showcases great knowledge. He is quick on his feet and often comes up with solutions for problems straight away, which shows he is a bright individual.
Syndrome
Syndrome is the main villain from the original movie who starts out as a young child who is a fanboy of Mr. Incredible that gets rejected as a sidekick. It is through that rejection that he becomes incredibly vindictive and he works hard to get that revenge.
While he can be a little bit childish at times and he has major anger issues, that doesn't mean that he isn't intelligent. He manages to create an incredible machine that has the ability to destroy Mr. Incredible, and the fact that he creates that himself showcases just how smart he is.
Winston Deavor
Winston Deavor is a very smart character, after all, he is in charge of his own telecommunications company and getting into that position and being in that role is certainly not an easy thing to do. He is a very cunning person and certainly has a lot of intelligence.
Unlike Syndrome, he doesn't suffer from being quite as dramatic and doesn't allow his emotions to take hold of him as much as he does, which is why he is a smarter character.
Evelyn Deavor
Evelyn Deavor really is the brains behind her families master plan during The Incredibles 2, and she really is very intelligent. She's sly and knows how to pretend to be a loveable person to trap Mrs. Incredible, but she is also very smart in coming up with the technology behind the Screenslaver character.
Having that amazing mix really is something that makes her one of the most intelligent characters from the franchise. She's smart enough to seemingly have a back-up idea for just about everything, and even though she doesn't win, it is still intelligence at the core of her character.
Mrs. Incredible
Mrs. Incredible always has her finger on the pulse of exactly what her family needs like a true wonder mom. In of fighting, she is incredibly skilled with her elasticity being very useful, but it is really her brains and her ability to analyse all potential problems that sets her apart from the rest.
She's incredibly wise and her years of experience within the superhero world allow her to know exactly what to do. But it is her ability to piece her family together that brings her intelligence out, and that is something that might slip under the radar at times.
Edna Mode
She might not be a superhero, but Edna Mode has more knowledge of this world than anyone else in either movie. Her expertise might be in the world of fashion, but she is able to mix that in with creating the greatest superhero suits imaginable.
Edna thinks of every single potential problem and covers The Incredibles within their suits. Her efforts are second to none and without her wisdom and help, the family would certainly struggle. She even works out how to control Jack-Jack, which is no mean feat.
