Last month, The Life of Chuck was in a very interesting position. The film by Mike Flanagan premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, where it hoped to go down well. An adaptation of the (non-horror) Stephen King novella of the same name, it tells the story of the title character's life in reverse, and features a talented cast including Tom Hiddleston, Karen Gillan, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Mark Hamill. But the film did better than go down well - it won the festival's People's Choice Award.
