Netflix reveals The Sandman season 2's episode titles and announces a surprise bonus episode of the acclaimed fantasy series. The Sandman season 1 premiered on Netflix in 2022, with season 2 greenlit and filmed in 2023. The Sandman showrunner Allan Heinberg plotted season 2 as the final season, which Netflix didn't confirm until January 2025. The timing coincided with the sexual misconduct allegations against Neil Gaiman, the creator of "The Sandman" graphic novels.

As announced by The Sandman season 2's release will be in three phases in July. The Sandman Season 2: Volume 1 (episodes 1-6) premieres on July 3, followed by Volume 2 (episodes 7-11) on July 24.
