WARNING: Spoilers for Moon Knight.
Moon Knight employs a lot of mystical artifacts in the streaming series, including the Scarab, a com leading to the hidden tomb of Ammit. The Scarab is actually based on a powerful artifact from Moon Knight comics. Several Moon Knight artifacts from Marvel Comics are present in the MCU, including some with surprising and intriguing connections to characters like Kang The Conqueror and Thor.
Moon Knight was gifted several powerful artifacts by the Priests of Khonshu when he became the avatar of the Egyptian god of the moon and many of them have yet to appear in the MCU. They may yet before the series wraps up, or they may evolve into other forms like the Scarab did, taking the elaborate mythology of the character from the comics and transforming it into something new and exciting.
The Scarab
Moon Knight does have a scarab in Marvel Comics, but it's not a com. When Marc Spector first becomes Moon Knight, he's gifted a number of powerful artifacts, including a scarab dart, which looks almost exactly like the com leading to Ammit's tomb in the MCU series.
Moon Knight is given the dart in Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #1, one of the best Moon Knight comic books of the 80s. The scarab dart is one of the most powerful artifacts in Moon Knight comics not only for its practical ability but for its mystical potential as well, as later comics explored.
The Kang Scarab
As Kang The conqueror discovered in Moon Knight Annual #1 from 2019, the collected artifacts have untapped potential over time and space. Kang uses a version of the Scarab from another timeline in concert with the others to try and alter history to his benefit.
He's thwarted by different Moon Knights from the past, but this could end up having relevance in the MCU. One of already been teased in the series.
The Scarlet Scarab
While the Ruby Scarab is a powerful mystical artifact in the deep lore of Marvel Comics, it doesn't have any overt connections to Moon Knight. It may have major connections to the character of Layla in the MCU series, making it of supreme interest to fans.
Episode four of the series contains a very small but significant Easter egg on a bandage covering Layla's finger. A red scarab is drawn on the bandage, a possible reference to Abdul Faoul, the Scarlet Scarab in Marvel Comics. Layla's last name in the MCU is El-Faouly.
Lasso Grapple
One of the many mystical artifacts the Priests of Khonshu gift upon Marc Spector in Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #1 is the lasso-grapple. It's essentially a glorified grappling hook, but the ornate golden weapon also serves as an ax.
The lasso-grapple clearly influenced the weapon that Steven discovers in the tomb of Alexander the Great in episode four. They appear to be the same size and shape, with the only difference being the blade of the MCU version is painted in a bright blue.
Ivory Boomerang
Moon Knight also receives an Ivory Boomerang from the Priests of Khonshu. The boomerang is engraved with mystical charms which protect both the weapon and the avatar of Khonshu from both conventional and mystical attacks.
Moon Knight hasn't produced the Ivory Boomerang yet in the MCU and that may be due to the wisdom of such a weapon. Boomerangs were debated by Clint Barton and Kate Bishop in the Hawkeye series, though Hawkeye does have boomerang arrows among his best weapons in the comics.
Bola
Another powerful artifact from Moon Knight comics that has yet to appear in the MCU is his bola. The bola is very simple, being a rock bound by cloth, but it was one of the assortment of implements given to Moon Knight by the Priests of Khonshu.
It seems unlikely the bola will factor into the MCU as the MCU Moon Knight can produce infinite crescent blades from his costume, but the bola did factor in his battle with the comic book version of Arthur Harrow, one of Moon Knight's most powerful villains.
Gauntlets
The golden gauntlets Moon Knight received in the comics remained a key part of his costume in the 1980s. They functioned essentially like Wonder Woman's iconic Bracelets of Submission, able to deflect bullets and other means of conventional attack.
The gauntlets were engraved with mystical runes the same as other artifacts from Moon Knight comics, working in concert together to amplify his power as the avatar of Khonshu and protecting him from enemies as powerful as he was.
Golden Ankh
Though he primarily only used it in the 80s, the Golden Ankh Moon Knight received is one of the most powerful artifacts in Moon Knight comics. The Ankh serves primarily as a weapon and is devastating against most opponents in hand-to-hand combat.
But the Golden Ankh serves another purpose as well. The ankh glows when someone's life is in danger, altering Moon Knight to the needs of others. It serves as a kind of mystical Spidey-Sense that guides Moon Knight in his quest to help others.
Silver Darts
In his first appearance in Werewolf By Night #32, Moon Knight uses silver darts, some of the most powerful artifacts from Moon Knight comics. These weapons were especially dangerous to Jack Russell, the Werewolf, who Moon Knight believed was a villain.
Moon Knight used a variety of silver-based weapons in his early encounters with Werewolf By Night, but as his character and mission evolved, so did the artifacts he used. Later weapons abandoned silver entirely for gold, as is the case with the MCU version.
