Powerhouse Nina Dobrev has been added to the "WrapWomen’s 2022 Power Women Summit" lineup (via The Vampire Diaries fans are here for it. The actor is known for portraying strong women on screen, the most loved of which is that of Katherine Pierce in the teen vampire drama.

Few other characters were as cunning yet charismatic as Dobrev's Katerina was. Katherine was known for her survival instincts and wily ways, but what most fans realized was that Kat was almost always right. She may have back-stabbed people to get around, but her instincts were spot-on, and she had a lot more foresight than her vampiric peers (as these quotes prove).
“If We Cease To Believe In Love, Why Would We Want To Live?”
Season 2, Episode 19 - "Klaus"
This flashback to Katherine and Elijah's budding romance may seem sweet, but even as a young human, Katherine knew that love was important in her life, and everyone else's. She was aware that love would play a large part in her story, and it did.
Katherine changed a lot through The Vampire Diaries, but her penchant for falling for the wrong men played a large role in how her life played out. Meeting and falling for Klaus and the Salvatore brothers made her many enemies, but it also gave her joy like no other.
"I'm The Thing That Everybody Wants. I'm The Freakin' Moonstone."
Season 5, Episode 2 - "True Lies"
Being in-demand was not new for Kat, but that didn't mean she liked it. Klaus was one of many TVD characters who brought about her downfall, and the moonstone had been the key to appeasing (or annoying) the hybrid. It was the object that everyone wanted, and after becoming human, she was clever enough to realize that she was, in fact, the object of everyone's desires (and wrath.)
This was one of Katherine's most astute observations. She knew she was in danger from several directions, but now she could no longer protect herself the way she could as a vampire.
“So How Do You Help The Guy Who Always Comes To The Rescue? Stefan's The Hero; It's Who He Is At His Core.”
Season 5, Episode 9 - "The Cell"
Despite her machinations, Katherine did truly love Stefan, and she also understood him better than anyone else. Although Stefan's selflessness made him TVD, he did, indeed, had a hero complex and found it hard to show up for himself most times.
Stefan's entire life revolved around atoning for his sins and helping others, because it was so difficult for him to do something for himself. Katherine was one of the few people who understood this deep need of the younger Salvatore and it proved how right she was about him.
"Do You Honestly Believe I Don't Have A Plan 'B?'"
Season 2, Episode 6 - "Plan B"
By virtue of previous failed tries, Katherine knew that plans often had a way of failing, especially the high stakes ones that she concocted. When it came to performing Klaus' ritual, she knew that her first werewolf (Mason) and vampire (Caroline) might not come through, so she had her backups ready.
As a character, Katherine was the most cautious and well-armed in the whole of TVD, and her suspicions were never unfounded. She had several plans ready to make her goals a reality.
“Because When You Get Mad, You Get Anxious And Violent And You Rip People's Head's Off.”
Season 5, Episode 9 - "The Cell"
Another instance where Katherine knew Stefan better than anyone was when she guessed exactly what triggered him and how to make him stop. His Ripper urges were beyond his control, but he could control his anger, which reduced his chances of getting violent.
Even when he was a bit unpredictable, Katherine helped him get over his anxiety and trauma from being locked up in the safe by Silas. She was right in her judgment of Stefan, and the things that set him off.
“I'm Katherine Pierce. I Survive.”
Season 5, Episode 11 - "500 Years Of Solitude"
One of Katherine's greatest fears on TVD was dying, and she did everything in her power to stay alive. Her quote was absolutely spot-on, since, even when she ed to the Other Side and consequently, Hell, she found a way to stay alive, and thrive.
Since she was human, she found ways to keep herself intact. It was her promise to herself, and self-preservation came above everything else for Katherine. This quote was just reaffirmation of how Katerina Petrova always made it out of a sticky situation, no matter what.
“Damon's Spirals Require A Little More Than An Overnight Bag.”
Season 5, Episode 14 - "No Exit"
Even when she was impersonating Elena, Katherine had some truth bombs to drop. As her and Stefan went on a journey to look for Damon when he was off hunting vampires for their blood, she made this accurate observation about Damon and his killing sprees.
It was never easy to get him back to being a reasonable, less murderous vampire, which was what Katherine meant here. She also had a keen sense of Damon's personality, and when he threw a tantrum, he took a while to get back to his senses (which was what happened when he became Sybil's servant as well).
“Humanity Is A Vampire’s Greatest Weakness...”
Season 3, Episode 9 - "Homecoming"
No Matter How Easy It Is To Turn It Off, It Keeps Trying To Fight Its Way Back In."
Humanity and vampirism were juxtaposing ideas, which was something that only Katherine understood. To be a vampire meant being bloodthirsty and murderous, because they were the apex predators. She knew that keeping her human emotions aside helped her stay alive.
Those who tried to be good, comionate vampires were almost always at war with themselves. For creatures of the night, kindness and humane behavior were a weakness, and were best left alone.
“I'm The One Who Taught You How To Love.”
Season 5, Episode 15 - "Gone Girl"
Damon and Katherine shared a contentious relationship, but the entire story of TVD began with her affair with both the brothers, and she indeed taught Damon how to love, and whom to love. Damon had grown accustomed to Katherine and her face, which was also what led to the love triangle between him, Elena, and Stefan.
For Damon, Katherine had been the only one he had been with as a human. She was the one who showed him what love was, and that was, for better or worse, the blueprint he carried with him into his whole life.
“I Was Looking Out For Myself. I Will Always Look Out For Myself. If You’re Smart, You’ll Do The Same.”
Season 2, Episode 9 - "Katerina"
In a dog-eat-dog world, the Petrova doppelgänger knew that the key to survival was to be selfish. She looked out for herself, because anyone who didn't, like Elena or Bonnie, always paid for their kindness in sorrow.
Katherine hadn't even gone to Klaus to save her own daughter, because that would mean curbing her own liberties to get the cure. Katherine's continued life meant being absolutely self-centered, and that was proven correct by every time she came back, stronger and faster.
