After successfully bringing down The Barksdale drug empire, The Major Crimes Unit will have themselves a new Lieutenant. Cedric Daniels has earned his long due promotion, while Tommy Carcetti's race to become the Mayor of Baltimore City has started to heat up. "Boys Of Summer" (8.5)

The first episode of season 4 plays its cards right. Starting with the Stanfield Organization who have taken over West Baltimore but are not in a co-op with Proposition Joe.

The new story of this season is the depiction of the life of the corner boys, who grow up in such a tough neighborhood. Meanwhile, The Major Crimes Unit is onto Marlo Stanfield and his Lieutenants.

"Refugees" (8.5)

In the fourth episode of season 4, the officers who built The Major Crimes Unit start fleeing, thanks to the new Lieutenant appointed by Rawls. Kima and Lester the Homicide Unit, as the former learns the new way of doing things.

Marlo is proving tough to deal with for Proposition Joe, so he confronts Omar Little for a job, only he could do.

"Soft Eyes" (8.6)

In the second episode of season 4, Carcetti is struggling to see a victory for himself in the race for Mayor, while Herc witnesses something that could change his career.

Wee-Bey's son, Namond Brice isn't who his father was but he still pretends to be like him, even in school. In the Homicide unit, Bunk has himself a murder, but he cannot find any solid witness.

"Alliances" (8.6)

In the fifth episode of season 4, Carcetti forms some important relationships. First, he has Rawls on his side, and to add to that, he also has Valchek, who is providing him with inside information.

One of Marlo's Lieutenants, Chris Partlow tries to recruit Michael Lee to the Stanfield Organization, while Bunny Colvin lands himself a new job, which concerns helping understand the "corner boy mentality."

"Unto Others" (8.6)

In the seventh episode of season 4, Bunk goes to visit Omar in the city jail where his life is in danger and he calls in his favor. While Bunk isn't happy at first, he takes Omar upon in his word that he didn't kill a civilian.

Carcetti gears up to the Mayor spot, by taking a look at the different departments of the city. Also, during the ComStat meeting, Commander Cedric Daniels impresses Carcetti with his speech.

"Corner Boys" (8.6)

In the eighth episode of season 4, all the attention is on the students in the special class. They do not answer about anything but as soon as Bunny asks them about corner boys, they start giving enormous amounts of suggestions.

Pryzbylewski finds new ways to communicate with the students while also giving some advice to Michael. Carcetti visits the Homicide Department to observe the working but is met with awkward silence.

"Know Your Place" (8.6)

In the ninth episode of season 4, Bunny takes some of the kids from the special class to a dining restaurant and it turns out to be a particularly bad decision.

Carcetti is still looking around and observing the working of the Baltimore Police Department, while Poot returns from jail to meet up with Bodie. Elsewhere, Marlo learns about the city police that is onto him, thanks to Proposition Joe.

"Home Rooms" (8.7)

In the third episode of season 4, Jimmy McNulty invites Bunk over for dinner with him and Beadie, suggesting the change he has gone through. Royce wonders how he can play the death of a witness and asks Ervin Burrel the same.

Elsewhere, Bodie gets a visit from Marlo on one of his corners as the latter tries to recruit him forcefully. Also, Michael seems to have caught Marlo's eyes.

"Margin Of Error" (8.8)

In the sixth episode of season 4, Carcetti wins the election and thus, becomes the new Mayor-elect of Baltimore. In other news, Herc and Sydnor continue surveillance of the footage coming straight from Marlo's place, while Pryzbylewski gets closer to the kids in his school, especially Duquan Weems.

Also, a special class for the kids misbehaving in school is formed, with Bunny as one of the heads.

"Misgivings" (8.9)

In the tenth episode of season 4, Burrell worries about his job because let's be honest, Carcetti doesn't prefer him to be his Commander. So, Clay Davis tries to come to the rescue but the viewers know all he cares about is himself.
