With The Witcher season 4 set to start a new era for the Netflix fantasy series, production has seemingly wrapped on the series. The series is an adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski's epic fantasy novel focused on a monster hunter in the fictional setting of the Continent. Having made her debut in the first season of The Witcher in 2019, Allen portrayed Ciri, the adoptive daughter of Geralt, who holds a powerful legacy and trains under the monster hunter.

While season 4 is set to be one of the most uncertain seasons of the fantasy series to date, production has supposedly hit a major milestone. In a post on her Instagram , Allen shared several pieces of artwork of her season 4 co-stars Christelle Elwin, Aggy K. Adams, Ben Radcliffe, Fabian McCallum, and Connor Crawford as their respective of the Rats. Alongside the artwork, Allen thanked her co-stars for helping the season be the most significant experience for her so far. Check it out below:

The End Of Filming Could Hint Towards A 2025 Release

While the post doesn't definitively confirm that filming is completed, Allen's message does align with past comments by The Witcher's new leading cast member, Liam Hemsworth, who will be picking up the role of Geralt from Henry Cavill following his season 3 departure. In comments made in early October, Hemsworth estimated that he had three weeks of filming left to complete after having worked on the series since January.

With filming seemingly having come to a close, viewers can now begin to estimate when they may see the season come to Netflix. Past seasons have seen a maximum span of eleven months between the end of their filming and the show's release, meaning that The Witcher season 4 could arrive on Netflix in the latter half of 2025. That also means first previews may start rolling in early 2025, to give a better look at Hemsworth in his new role.

The Witcher season 3 Ciri and Yennefer saying goodbye

Netflix faces an incredible amount of pressure with The Witcher season 4, as the series must prove that it can last beyond the involvement of Cavill, who is believed to have departed the series due to creative differences over how the series adapted the novels. With Cavill's self-processed love of the source material, past deviations and his departure have created concerns about how the showrunners will handle future adaptations.
