Ahead of production starting on Thor: Love and Thunder, Hemsworth regularly shared shots of his workouts, which prompted awed responses from co-stars Natalie Portman and Chris Pratt. It feels like Hemsworth's training has received special attention this time around, and that might be for good reason, based on new comments from his body double.

While appearing on Australian radio show Fitzy and Wippa (via UPROXX), Hemsworth's double Bobby Holland Hanton discussed how he has to get in shape to keep up with Hemsworth's insane physique. Evidently, it's even harder than before with Thor: Love and Thunder, as Hemsworth is bigger than ever before. "Everyone is like, ‘Wow look at the size and him’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, that’s brilliant, I’m that guy’s double,’ so I text him, I’m like, ‘Thanks very much dude, you’ve just made this even harder,'" Holland Hanton said. He continued by saying he has to be on the same training regime as Hemsworth, even down to the food he eats. "He’s the biggest though he’s ever been, so I have to be the biggest I’ve ever been, which is a challenge but I’m up for it," Holland Hanton added.

It's not unusual for Marvel actors to get unusually buff for their roles; in the past, the transformations of actors like Pratt and Kumail Nanjiani have stunned fans. People are used to Hemsworth getting extra swole, but it seems even more impressive this time around. With Thor: Love and Thunder standing as his eighth full MCU outing, he's done this before. Now seems like the time to go above and beyond.

Most likely, this will pay off in a big way with Thor: Love and Thunder, and it will be quite the change from how audiences last saw Hemsworth's character. Fat Thor earned some mixed responses from fans, largely over how his arc was handled. Nevertheless, it will be quite the change to go from an overweight Thor to one who is the biggest audiences have seen yet. Perhaps more Love and Thunder set photos are necessary to get used to how he looks.
