In both Thor is known for making quite an entrance when he's fighting a group of powerful opponents. However, his most badass moment came from the Infinity event, where the God of Thunder used Mjolnir in one of the most extraordinary ways imaginable to destroy the Builder - a moment which would be amazing to see adapted into live-action.
As the God of Thunder, Thor possesses some incredible abilities that make enemies tremble. Armed with his enchanted hammer, Mjolnir, Thor has launched some special attacks over the years - including his thunder-filled entrance in Wakanda in Avengers: Infinity War, as well as the numerous times he's launched his hammer like a boomerang at an opponent to stop them. However, his most impressive kill with Mjolnir happened when the hero threw his hammer into space and hid it within a star, only to have it return and impale a powerful villain.
In Infinity #4 by Jonathan Hickman, Jerome Opena, Dustin Weaver, Justin Ponsor, and Chris Eliopoulos, the Avengers send Thor to Hala to negotiate peace with the Builders, who have gained control of hundreds of worlds (and the Kree Empire) through deadly means. Upon arriving at Hala, Ronan the Acc tells Thor he needs to be unarmed before discussions begin, leading the God of Thunder to throw his hammer into space. The Builder doesn't negotiate in good faith, telling Thor there is no bargain to be made - even slapping the Avenger in the face. However, he tells Thor he's saved numerous planets by negotiating with him, but won't spare Earth. Thankfully, Thor figured the conversation wouldn't be fair and as the Builder taunts him by saying "mankind should know they are done," Thor recalls his hammer, which he kept hidden inside a burning star. Mjolnir impales the Builder.
The entire Intergalactic Council watches as the Builder is killed by Thor, as he grants freedom to those previously conquered by the alien race. In the end, Thor brilliantly decided to hide his hammer inside of a star, realizing the Builder's negotiations wouldn't be fruitful. So, when the Builder's ego and thirst for control shined through and he promised to destroy Earth, Thor found the perfect time to recall his hammer and have it obliterate his opponent in a stunning show of force.
The moment is one of Thor's coolest and smartest kills, showing him not just as a blunt instrument but as a tactical fighter rightly at the forefront of protecting the planet from cosmic threats. If the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever wants to pull a similar bait and switch, they'd be wise to recreate the moment in a future project. Hiding Mjolnir in a star and unleashing at the perfect time is incredibly badass. Considering how much Infinity inspired Avengers: Infinity War, it would make sense to continue to mine the excellent comic for inspiration.
