New variant covers have made Storm into a stunning team. These covers for Demon Days: Rising Storm #1 put an electrifying twist on the classic comic heroes. They star in the issue, meeting Mariko Yashida - the series' protagonist.

Demon Days is a comic series that re-envisions Marvel's characters, pairing them with Japanese folklore. The most recent installment, Demon Days: Rising Storm #1 is written and illustrated by Peach Momoko. The creative team also includes Zack Davisson and Ariana Maher. This is the fourth part of five in the Demon Days Saga.

The variant covers for this issue are illustrated by Kaare Andrews, Michael and Laura Allred, Russell Dauterman, and Alex Garner. The cover art on each highlights the God and Goddess of Thunder. Fans of the Avengers and X-Men will note some very interesting differences between these redesigns and the original characters. Most notably, Storm (Ororo Munroe) has been de-aged in most of them, while Thor has a new hairstyle that he's rocking. Check out the covers, shared by League of Comic Geeks, here:

The variant by Andrews features Storm perched atop Thor's shoulders. However, the God of Thunder has bulked up significantly. This cover appears very cosmic and powerful given their stances and abilities. The Allred variant is also rather cosmic, with a gorgeous celestial background that features Storm's godly form. However, only Thor is showcasing his powers here. Ororo is larger than in the Andrews variant, though she is still much smaller than normal, reflecting her depiction within this series.

The Dauterman variant lightly maintains Momoko's watercolor style in the background, though it has many differences from it through the rest of the cover. Storm is portrayed in her god form here, with both she and Thor lightly using their powers. This cover has a beautiful flow, emphasizing the grace both characters can possess. Last, but certainly not least, the Garner variant places the two gods in a natural, botanical setting. It shows why these two are such a great pair as it connects a bolt of electricity between Ororo and Thor.

In this series, Thor and Storm are gods, who are referred to as Sosuke and Ororo. They are conveyed as being siblings, which makes sense considering their powers. Their typically differing origins are irrelevant in this redesign. ways Thor and Storm have been re-envisioned for themselves.
