It's a question DC fans continue to ask: who is faster, Superman or The Flash? But even if Superman can run faster than a speeding bullet, the idea of him actually trying to race The Flash seems ridiculous. Since The Flash is powered by a direct connection to the Speed Force, he can run at an almost unlimited velocity, even beyond the speed of light itself (to the Speed Force as pure energy, or time travel).So why has Superman been forced to put his own top speed of running and flying up against a Flash multiple times? And then there is the most important question: if Flash is obviously faster than Superman can ever be, how has Kal-El managed to beat him more than once in the comics?
