I was more or less surprised by The Acolyte's cancellation. While I knew the show might not make it due to the mixed reception and not enough viewership, the finale's tease that important Star Wars characters like Yoda and Darth Plagueis could play big roles in season 2 seemed to hint that a renewal was imminent. Dafne Keen, who played Jecki in The Acolyte, recently spoke to ScreenRant about the show's cancellation, saying that it was overwhelming. Due to the finale's character teases and how there was a good story with Qimir to be explored, I agree with her.
